  1. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/quebec-electric-snowmobile-maker-taiga-suspends-production-lays-off-70-workers-1.2054377 Montreal-based electric snowmobile manufacturer Taiga Motors says it is pausing production and temporarily laying off around 70 workers. The company, which also makes electric watercraft, says its decision is in response to a challenging economy and an exceptionally mild winter. Taiga released quarterly and annual results today but did not hold a conference call with investors, and a spokesperson said managers would not be available for interviews. It says its net loss was $72.5 million in 2023, compared to a loss of $59.5 million in 2022.
  2. Can't, won't, and doesn't work. AC lost half their sales when textron tried than. If anything you claimed was true why Poo is now #1 in atv sales, can am is in gaining leaps, and bounds, while suzuki is basically out of the market they, are outsold by cfmoto. yup
  3. Performance, and new tech is the only thing that sells in any real numbers.
  4. I'm not surprised you did more last year than they did this year, or that they didn't do many/any this year, doo or poo didn't release anything earth shattering new, and have lots of leftovers in the field, while AC released the 858. If they are 1/13th of normal, and you are 5x that you are about half of their normal year. Is that enough to gain market share in your area? Does it bring your number up to higher than it was in '18?
  5. You guys didn't hear?? He rode the shit out of his catalyst, and his old sled this winter. A couple months ago he was telling everyone on AI they didn't know what they are talking about, the seat is great, how he has plenty of miles back to back with both chassis, and how much he hated riding the procross now. He wouldn't lie, so it has to be true
  6. you sure that includes dirt.. They built more units for BRP, than they did catalysts
  7. BRP won't realy be hurt that much by this, they know the business well, and are obviously planning for it. But AC on the other hand, does anyone think they'll even sell as many units as this year?... Textron finally let them spend on new products after far too long, only to release them into the worse market in over a decade. Wonder how the board is going to react to orders falling so short of expectations? BRP's cut in sled production, is more sleds than AC's has built in a year since the 03 firecat
  8. Shocking.... https://financialpost.com/pmn/transportation-business-pmn/autos-transportation-business-pmn/mild-winter-wreaks-havoc-on-brp-snowmobile-sales-as-ski-doo-maker-cuts-production
  9. Those are 850's for the same $$ as a 600....
  10. Too high. What can you by an equivalent doo, or poo for?
  11. I've been busy lately.... Is this recall #2 for the boost fuel line leak... About 7,000 (In addition, about 3,100 were sold in Canada) That is 10,100 boost sleds built in 2 years (for jimwit, who can't do the math) @Palu49 how many catalyst did AC build this year?
  12. I've been told by some very knowledgeable folks in the parts department that as of a year ago or so, they are done with zuke, and won't be getting any more parts in.
  13. I was always told 10 years, but haven't seen that ever enforced, I know that is how long BRP has to support Evinrude. Textron made ccu's nla only a few years after they were used in the 4000 procross sleds. Had customers still making payments on a sled that a critical part was NLA. Team primary clutches for the the wildcat x, trail, and sport are, or will be NLA without a replacement as well (trail and sport are, x I haven't bothered to check on, as we tried not to sell any of those) We all know you're too stupid to understand this, but its far more than pistons that are discontinued, and a vast majority of the parts don't have any aftermarket replacement. Its just another issue with being the smallest manufacture. With so few units built there isn't enough volume for the aftermarket to risk investing in making anything. Just look for aftermarket support for your 600 ATV, there really isn't any.
  14. FYI Textron killed the parts deal with Suzuki, and won't be ordering, or receiving parts from them. If you have an old girl you want to keep going, stock up on parts, while you can
  15. Can't keep the gay shit off your mind, can you??? What happened to you saying the 7000 has a rear cooler, and no bulkhead cooler...
  16. Speaking of ex Team Arctic riders... anyone hear word on Brian Dick?? Is he riding or racing anything these days?
  17. He's a lying sack of shit, endlessly posting wrong info, and acting like he knows what he's talking about. He stops lying, and posting moronic bullshit, everyone stops pointing out that he's lying and posting wrong info. See post above about 7000 cooling system, since you can't seem to figure it out on your own
  18. Jesus are you a fucking moron. Everything you say is wrong, despite claiming otherwise. 7000 have a bulkhead cooler, no tunnel or rear coolers. They don't require tunnel protectors because of this Proof you wrong, again.. 2024 cooling system: 2014 cooling system: for the 10,000th time in this thread
  19. 1. That entire story is a lie, like pretty much everything else he posts. If you don't see/understand that, there isn't much hope for you. 2. The flares are each ^ shaped, snow that hits them doesn't get directed into the tunnel.
  20. So you are saying, that you believe that jimwit went out for a test ride, came home put the flairs on, went for another ride in the exact same conditions, riding the exact same way, and his sled ran 25 degrees cooler....
  21. More results of man made climate change.... https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2024/03/24/solar-storm-northern-lights-visible-midwest/73086429007/
  22. Useless history time.. The firecats were supposed to get that same locking setup as the ZR, but it was changed at the last min. If you look close at the output shaft on an 05, there is a threaded slug welded into into the DD output shaft. We had a special services sled come through the shop, that actually had the locking collar driveshaft in it. Had to replace the driveshaft, and gearcase output shaft
  23. It's pitiful that this is the best comeback you can muster up
