    Sure would be nice!

    Sled ride

I am thinking this will be a year that you will need to pre-book well ahead to have any hopes of having accommodations.

    Sled ride

Going for the long haul.....I assume perhaps a late season trip.

    2021 Trail Pass

Ahh, I knew there was some reason there was discussion of increased government involvement . 24:1 using Yamalube 2R as described in the manual. I am sure I could go with a higher ratio given the enhancements to oil now a days based on the year of the bike.

    2021 Trail Pass

Yep, 2-smoke....I'll try that this weekend if we get out. Permit money goes to the OFSC & it's clubs....I am trying to recall what exactly the Ontario government got involved for, but that does ring a bell, however I am 99% sure the permit money still goes to the OFSC.

    2021 Trail Pass

No, usually let it warm up, give it a few blips of the throttle and off I go. I cannot see how the OFSC can sell permits with the intent to open trails, to than not groom them.....but crazy things happen. It is going to likely be a very strange year, maybe some will opt to not ride this year, and then we go and have an awesome snow year. Anyone in the know what the early season permit numbers are compared to years past with being it such an odd one??? Since when does your trail pass money go to the government? It goes to the OFSC and the clubs that make up the OFSC. License sticker, strictly government of course.

    2021 Trail Pass

Still working & no broken bones yet, just some bruises that go away with time! Rebuilt the shocks as they were done and been kind of trying to get rid of a bog that it has always had, that goes away after the bike warms up, maybe something that I am just not aware of, I can lean it out but rather be on the richer/safer side & deal with a cold bog for a short period..... Kids are still loving their bike too.

    Sled ride

Bump... Anyone have some sled trips in the works for the year yet? Will not be long before there is some Green or Yellow trails in the north for the holiday season.

    2021 Trail Pass

I would think something as simple as a cleaning before and after each driver gets in, not sure why it should be a big concern really - not suggesting you are making a big deal, just asking a common sense question that some are blowing every little detail, concern totally out of the water...... They have a fog too that is used to disinfect that might be used. I can see how some will be more concerned about this while others not so much. Anyways, bought my pass a few days ago, starting to get excited for winter, cool air & some snow on the ground.....will be short lived and I hoping with the warmer weather forecasted will get the dirt bikes out one more weekend that is coming up! Not concerned what happens with the trails though, whatever happens, happens......possible $200.00 donation towards a good cause I guess. Buying more than one permit though, could be harder pill to swallow - still think that is where the discount should be, people buying more than one permit.
  10. That doesn't help when its an inside job....
  11. It was a few years ago, I recall that they were renovating the place.....I would guess around 2012/13 maybe. If you have been there repeatedly, you might have a better idea when they the renovations were going on, but it was that winter.
  12. LOL....I know it can be believed to be a big deal, but knock on wood, we have never had an issue and only once have we been at a place that experienced theft. One morning at Hotel Forestel in Val-d'Or a couple of sleds were no longer where the owners had left them..
  13. But the insurance is only good in Quebec......notice no theft though....
  14. LOL....ya, and mirrors, no aftermarket exhaust and just might get some flack from the QPP if you have custom numbers, apparently..... QC is getting hit hard again with Covid, but that is more in the higher density area's, not so much in the prime sledding spots....hopefully cross border activities are allowed come Jan & Feb. Great trails, but like anywhere else, you can get some bad stuff too. The atmosphere is by far the best, people just live for sledding and really cater to people that share the same passion.

    Leafs

My nephews son that plays tripple or double elite (I think), who lives to play hockey & usually does so about 12 months in the year, but cannot in the normal sense for him currently, is able to keep playing at the NTR in Newmarket, because it is a training facility I believe and he is getting all sort of invites to tournaments that are still going on. His dad goes to watch, only one parent allowed and depending on how the rink is set up, he was telling me if the rink has a bar/restaurant, you can watch from in there (assuming it has a view of the rink), but they are also live streaming the games as well for you to watch.
  16. I hate Goodyears as well, but last set of tires on the truck went with Dura's, reviews were great and price was good.....they have been really good, run them all year for I think the last 3 or 4 years, rotate every 10,000 km. I have ran Coopers for winter tires on may last truck and they were good, ran Toyo's in the summer, which were also great, but expensive and a real heavy tire.
  17. Sound like that is the issue....line between well and pump in the house is broken.....so losing the prime, system drains, pumps come on and repeat. Same thing if the foot valve was bad.
  18. Is it a drilled well with a capped pipe sticking out of the ground or buried below the ground? Likely a bad foot valve that you can replace by pulling the intake line out of the well. Need a long threaded pipe that you connect to fitting in the well where the line in the well connects to the line that runs from well pipe to your house/pump. If you have a check valve, it would normally be in the house on other side of pump, but doubt you have both a foot & check valve, but you never know.
  19. Gotta do the arm extension test to see if it is a she or shemale.....
  20. Couple pictures from riding around Quebec last couple of days. Also had a chance to ride a 900 turbo....nice addictive power curve but man does this sled have some serious handling querks, granted it was a cheaper trim level and could use some tweaks that I'm sure would help.
  21. What is the month & year of the tire manufacture - there will be a 4 digit number on it. Look up tire recalls as well for that brand. All 4 of my TT tires were recalled and had no idea until I went to buy news ones and found the notice - had 4 new tires sent to me once I inquired and bitched about it.
  22. I guess getting lost didn't happen....i know on past trips that was one issue causing to back track on the same trails once, twice, etc....
