  1. no more talk of this foolishness! Guessing though that if we put some kashima coating on metal flares this would solve all this ?
  2. I would not doubt the belt is wrong(slightly off) from CAT they have not clutched a sled very well for many years. The guys at Thunder figured it out(or will with better time and snow) weather it be clutch weights or a shorter, and or a stickier belt compound. I have not tried a different belt, but just adding more weight and playing with clutching components has yielded good results by several on here. Im only able to say I made mine produce less belt dust, lower over revs, and was able to pull the belt up higher for better top end. I will be sending out my clutch(adapt) over to Terry at thunder and let him balance it out and do what's needed to get some more performance. I have absolutely no doubt in his ability to make a clutch produce more overdrive. He has done it for me with other clutches in the past. I don't do Facebook so I don't know if he has provided evidence to his numbers he claims for the 600 catalyst. The season was so bad for riding that many were not even able to trail ride these new sleds. I really like what I felt and noticed on the RXC in 250 miles. My only bitch is the seat. But I thought the cooling issues that the procross showed were improved upon with the catalyst. I rode one day on very hard pack for several hours and was impressed WITHOUT scratchers.
  3. Yup. Spot on. Just like the "racer gear set" .
  4. Ill answer for him! Not a fucking thing because its not the gears that's causing no top end. Its the helix and LIGHT clutch weights not pulling the belt up high enough in the primary/overdrive.
  5. Okay. If you actually think those plastic pieces work great use them, but when you say the word facts > you need to back that shit up with pics and or common sense explanation on here. Just not that much snow hitting those flares, they are to far outside the track width. Hard pack snow from overnight grooming is where the issues are. Those flares do nothing but stop little ice chunks from hitting you in the back of the head when your on tighter twisty trails.
  6. Thinking maybe you should try some? 5-10 MG gummies make you relax and sleep better. And its legal in your state. Drinking alcohol will kill you WAY faster then some THC > Fact
  7. Would like to add that the 2024 RXC has way better cooling then previous procross sleds. In 250 miles with some of that on really hard pack it was WAY better then my 2021 800 bag of turds.
  8. They do nothing! I have tried them and extended flaps, all that shit . I ride when the sun comes up and back by 2-3 pm. I ride tons of hard pack, matter fact I would say I run 70% hard pack. The faster procross 2 smokes are very finicky and almost always run hot. Best set I have tried for scratchers on procross 2 smoke and 4 are the ski doo tunnel scratchers. They throw tons of snow on the upper rear of the track and up and into exchangers. Never seen anything work better and tried all of them over the years. These ski doo tunnel mounted ones work so well usually you only need one down as they throw so much shit https://ty4stroke.com/threads/brp-ice-scratchers.154825/page-7
  9. I found a trail report for your journey! Looks average for 2024?
  10. Just coming back from the UP. Ice went out on Chaney lake Thursday. Snowed last night 3” and was snowing pretty good when we just left 745am. Cut a bunch of firewood and relaxed for 9 days. Looking snowy and colder. Not a lot of frost in ground when pounding wood row stakes in.
  11. https://alaskapublic.org/2024/03/13/snowmachiner-collides-with-iditarod-team-then-flees-the-scene-troopers-say/ “When the team was running a straightaway stretch in broad daylight a snowmobile came down the trail recklessly driving and clipped one of the dogs on the team,” it says. “Bailey did everything in his power to try to gain the attention of the driver whom tried to continue down the trail after hitting said dog. WTF is going on in Alaska with all these dogs and record snow levels? Wonder what brand sled was used in this “dog strike” ??
  12. If the old ctec 800 is better then the 858 in anyway CAT is in big trouble. Like huge trouble.
  13. AGREE. That's a great question we will never get a honest answer for.
  14. D bag had it coming from what was reported. Who the fuck instigates shit with iron mike on a airplane? Some people just deserve to be knocked out.
  15. Usually the biggest mouths know the least and have the slowest sleds. Just a observation over the years.
  16. Thanks. I never owned blue. But I sure like the blue color with the orange 22 SE. Orange out the tunnel and nose piece on mine dropped some QRS3 kashima on. Lots of people asked me about mine when out on trails and I have never seen one in person on the trails when I was riding. Don't think they built a lot of the 22 SE. I will NEVER sell this sled. 17 is where it started for me.
  17. I used to feel this way about the electric windows in the very back of pickup trucks. The truck I drive now is the first I have ever owned that had a remote window in the middle of the large rear window. Still not a fan but it does seem to function and not leak at this point. Technology and engineering is really amazing if you think back just 20 years ago to now!
  18. IF i didn't have a 2022 with only 2300 miles on it I would for sure. The black LE is decent looking, and has awesome shocks on it(kashima). The same shocks I already have 2022 orange blue SE. Now If I had money just laying around I would go for the LE. Pull the decals and black it out with a wrap . Maybe do a mostly black with some White or orange accents/SRX .
  19. Good riddance on this POS motor
