  1. Because factory turbo stickers on the side of a two stroke sled is > 10 monster stickers
  2. jimbo on a roll, priceless......
  3. That Cat marketing intern is feverishly creating that list of excuses why they did not bring anything new yet again for that brain dead leader to read off her ipad at the launch announcement - or they just cancel it altogether. Cue jimbo the Cat superfan to reiterate how nothing new is needed for team green.
  4. And the turbo version has already been tested for a few years now. It will likely be available next season and then all the fanboys that gave a hundred reasons why Poo would never have a four stroke can explain why they are riding a four stroke.
  5. It also makes it easy when most manufacturers are going to be delivering only a few dozen sleds max before the snow flies next season and the rest of the 23's sometime in 24'. My son was number 82 on the order list at my dealer. He has not even had a callback yet in over a week.
  6. Should be the fastest two stroke on snow - while it's running.... Hope it comes with a four year warranty....
  7. Have to agree with this. It can be frustrating but there seems to be more large groups on the trails than ever before. Could not believe how many were running in groups of 10 or more sleds. Always wonder why these groups just don't break up into smaller one's and then meet up at a destination or two or three. They are stopping all the time anyway. Our group is a max size of 7 sleds when everyone is up and even though everyone can ride it still is more challenging than when it's just a couple of us. Over the last 10 days it was not the slow moving groups that were the issue on the trails it was larger groups of ricky racer's where you pass the lead rider and everyone behind is trying to set some type of trail record for riding fast on the wrong side of the fucking trail.
  8. Riding the past week and a half. All but a couple of slow moving groups let us pass. It actually seemed far better this year than in past seasons.
  9. The majority by far over the past 10 years have been black and this year it's either hideous yellow or black so most will be black yet again.
  10. The problem is you see them as a dig when you really should keep wearing them as a badge of honor. You wear that cat fanatic crown like no other.....
  11. Somehow I don't think this would even be a challenge. I remember when ole' jimbo was singing the praises for the blast and that it was all he really needed.
  12. Well son of a bitch, thought I was back on the old HCS forum for a few minutes. Good to see that ramsty is still in perfect form and wearing those pickle colored goggles. You go dumstad!
  13. Poo has brought their MSRP's right inline with Doo so my guess is if they bring a new powerplant option it will cost the same with similar options. My 2020 may be my last snow check although I hope not.
  14. Agree, once supply of new gets back to normal, whatever that is these days, used will have to start getting back to the standard depreciation cycle.
  15. Here's the problem with that strategy. Anything one or two years old is just as expensive or more in some cases then ordering new. My BIL has been looking all winter and best he can come up with that meets his criteria have been 7 year old 15's selling for what they were when brand new. My advice was to just bite the bullet and spring order a new one even with the price increase and additional markups and fees.
  16. Sticking with the kid's sleds and expanding the lineup has been THE smartest thing Cat has done over the past decade. The 120 and 200 guys must not be included in any other discussions or some of that clever might have at least accidentally spilled over into the Blast or the rest of the lineup. I definitely regret selling the 120. Should have kept that around with the 72' Kitty Cat I still have.
  17. Of course it is, with the Lester's riding it!!! Those guys have always been just fucking ridiculous. I could hardly watch Luke fucking gushing over the new Doo G5 saying how awesomely good that extra motor mount and foam inside the side panels changes everything..... GMAFB.
  18. Don't knock it. The ninja fucking turtles are badass and all the rage with those french canadians!
  19. First I have heard of BRP not letting you choose your own dealer but with how crazy things are these days I guess anything is possible. I think BRP would have a hard time enforcing the zip code and only buying from a local dealer. I would call a couple of dealers and get the scoop. My son called ours yesterday and got the info on how many were already on his list and also that they would not be able to place an order for 10 days unlike in the past where they could start placing orders right away. You are correct in that dealers can do anything they want regarding price it's just now that the number of units they can get are so limited the best I have heard is MSRP with no additional markups. The worst I have heard is MSRP plus stupid markups on top of that due to demand.
  20. The bar is so fucking low for Cat right now all they really need to do for 23' is source some modern shiny plastic in decent Cat colors, slap some graphics on them and they will gain back market share.
  21. Poo finally releasing the four stroke they have been testing for at least the last 7 years would be interesting. If nothing else just to see how many that have said they would never own a four stroke and Poo would never sell one now riding one. Then I could watch the Lester's review of it stating how amazingly awesomely fantastic it is and how it is now a gamechanger for sledding without having to add oil.
  22. Thought maybe there would be some info at least on what Cat won't be bringing for 2023 but instead it was just a lot of talk about Doo again. Here goes.... This is what Cat won't be bringing for 23' 1. A new chassis or even the old chassis with a new number pasted into the spec sheet. They fired all the marketing bunnies so nobody left knows how to even do this. 2. A new engine of any kind. Just more work getting that 800 ctec the way it should have been working 7 years ago. 3. A gauge from this millennium. But black and white atari games are all the rage these days so charge more and sell it as nostalgia. But again, marketing bunnies are gone. 4. New graphics or colors. They fired the guys that knew how to draw up a few stickers and source some updated paint for the plastics, or even know how to paint plastic. That's four guesses for starters.....
  23. Complaining about the price of shit just means you are getting old so guess I am officially old now. My 2020 XRS Turbo was discounted to $14K and even with a bunch of expensive accessories was out the door for under $16K with taxes, and any and all fees. Fast forward a couple years and essentially the same sled is now at $18K because it's MSRP and with a factory surcharge added. Not ordering this year so I don't have details on any "additional markup's" the dealer would be adding on top of that. I do know he already has 80 people on his order list but only because my son was going to order one. $4K plus over mine just seems a bit nuts to me but then again, I am getting old.
  24. Loving my taxpayer sponsored geothermal system. Thanks everyone.
