Then it wouldn't be excessive spending. -

How can you have excessive spending and still have a surplus? -

California has a budget surplus of $75 BILLION. Democrat politicians too. $75B > $1.2B Better luck next time. -
How did 3rd world countries with no established healthcare manage to treat C19 faster than the rest of the world? Did they have stockpiles of HeartGuard sitting around? And if treating it immediately was the answer, doesn’t that indict your almighty Trump for not moving to treat it immediately instead of recommending bleach and light and saying it was contained and will be gone in no time?

Bucket list item right there. Got a buddy in TX, that I used to hunt birds with up here, who’s told me they’re everywhere and to come down anytime. One of these years I’m going. Going to bring an arsenal too.

Car sales plunge as chip shortages choke off supply

Lumber by me has come down a bit. Need a new fence and everyone is pushing aluminum. Problem is, you can’t get it. Looked at coated chain link, almost as much as aluminum. Going with wood again as it was $5K cheaper and our current wood fence lasted 18 years. We’re not staying here more than 5-6 years anyway so wood it is. I sold my boat earlier this year for what I paid for it 6 years ago. All the boat places around here were sold out back in March. Absolutely crazy demand. My Yukon XL took a shit last October and had to drive 3 hrs to find a Sequoia in the mileage and trim package I wanted. Looked up my car on CarMax about 2-3 weeks ago, same model, color and package, and it had 15k more miles than mine when I bought it and they’re asking $14K more than I paid for mine last Oct. I’ve never in my life had an auto appreciate. -
Shh… You’ll be labeled a hypocrite if you call out both parties. What kills me is some think “their party” holds the moral high ground when you can find examples all day of both sides doing the same thing. They just label it differently.

Looks like it's delayed at least until Dec.

I agree re: the drones, but I think the wars killed a lot more. And you're right about it being shoveled under the rug. No doubt about it. -

I don't necessarily agree that he killed more Brown people than Bush and Trump combined. I think Bush holds that title on the mere invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan alone. At least in Iraq anyway, civilian deaths peaked in '05-'07 timeframe. But I see your point re: the NPP. I didn't think Obama did anything to earn that, so I concur it's validity is in question. -

Do you think all of those were just his accomplishments, or trends that he kept alive? I mean, I have to give him credit for not fucking the whole thing up his first 2.5-3 years, but looking at some things like the economy and the stock market, does Trump deserve singular credit or did he just not get in the way? GDP for instance, started with Obama and continued through Trump until C19 hit. So yes, it peaked under Trump, but then it started to drop under him as well. The Stock Market is another example. Yes, it peaked under him at one time, but then dropped again, and then hit higher under Biden and I personally don't think Biden has done anything, policy wise, to get any credit for the market climbing again. There is a highlight on that page re: manufacturing and construction jobs hitting record growth, but are we cherry picking industries in an effort to support the President? Overall, new jobs were softer under Trump than they were Obama. DJIA Non-farm job growth rate in U.S. by year. GDP Growth by year. -

Happy 97th Birthday to Jimmy Carter today. Jimmy Carter: 'We never dropped a bomb. We never fired a bullet. We never went to war' Jimmy Carter won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his pursuit of peace and human rights. Pretty impressive resume. -

I have no idea what you’re talking about with a BS speech. I didn’t say he was great, I just said he was my favorite because the U.S. was knocked on its ass on 9/11 and I felt he handled it in a way I appreciated. The wars, WMDs, all that, complete failure. But again, I’ll simplify it for you again, the handling of 9/11 and the days after are why I like him the most of that list. He brought some calm to a nation knocked on its ear. And inside job? You seriously believe that conspiracy BS? The ramifications of what happened with 9/11 exceeded anything anyone could have ever planned for. I swear where do people come up with this shit? YouTube University? -
Do Americans Know What a Massive Ripoff American Life Really Is?
SShooterZ replied to Mainecat's topic in Current Events
I disagree with a lot of his premises. The HC issues is a big one, I'll give him that. But you don't need a lot of the expenses he's referencing. Consumerism is what causes a lot of people to live "poor". Oh I can't buy dinner but I have a $1,500 phone and an new ride sitting in the driveway on an 8% loan. He also talks about utilities compared to the UK as well, and sure, we pay more but our living spaces are significantly larger than the average UK home too. Yes, CCs are a problem, but again, it's the user's choice to buy the shit they want. I see way more bad spending habits than I see people painted in the corner on a limited income having to use CCs. He compares the conflict in America vs. Canada and the UK without taking into accord that combined, the UK and Canada are a third of the US population. That whole opinion piece just seems like a slam on Americanism from someone who probably doesn't see much outside of the city life. Just my $.02 -

The next time you actually make a coherent point, with one of your meme or quote-copy-paste posts, will be the first time.

That's not gaslighting. And you do what @jtssrx incorrectly labeled "Gas lighting", ad nauseum.

The 'overemployed' workers juggling remote jobs

I've contemplated it. Problems would probably arise around EOQ though as that is when everyone is screaming for POs. Some companies make you sign an agreement that this will be your primary position too. A side hustle definitely makes sense though. Thinking of the extra hours I don't have to spend on the train, in the car or in the air, and you recoup a lot of time in your life. -

Then there's actually creeping on your own daughter. “My daughter, Ivanka. She’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body." "I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her." “She's actually always been very voluptuous,”
