Decide to try something different...Been riding 2 wheels for 50+ years...Sooo I pulled the trigger on the Can Am...They actually force you into using their finance promo with such a rediculus low rate...(0.99%) it's not worth taking $9500.00 out of the bank...I think the entire finance charge for the 60 month term is less than $250.00...Better yet this dealer doesnt charge any Frt/Setup fees...$49.00 to do the title/reg/plates...Roadtrip north on monday to pickup in the northwoods...

Still sitting on the fence...But the itch is getting stronger...Now looking at one of these...Basically the same MSRP...But a better overall deal from the dealer...In Stock and ready to Roll...

You can still fuck up HCS in a BIG way...Here's how...Who ever owns/runs this website needs to open a VENDOR FORUM and steal all the vendors @ HCS...Offer FREE VENDOR SPACE HERE for 2 seasons if they move over here...Then cut HCS's throat on advertising rate by 50% after the initial 2 free seasons...All VS cares about is the coin....Think out of the box douches...

No incremental times given back in those days...No ProTree...Go on green...Cross the starting line beam sets the timer, cross the finish line beam shuts the timer off...Some tracks provided the topend speed from trap speeds or radar guns...60' times...lol...Not with nitrious sleds back in those days...You couldnt leave the line with spray, you had to be out atleast 100' before you hit the red button, thats where this sled made it's time...The flyweights and helixes had to be custom made, no aftermarket shops had weights heavy enough for nitrious, and the helix angles from what was available off the shelf were to shallow...Same sled built for speedruns held the national speed record in the NSSR open fuel class back then @ 162 and change in 1320'...

Was running similar numbers on ice in 660' back in the early 1990's...4.9/132mph...Afew clicks under 350hp with the N2O...

There are 1000's of miles of legal road routes designated for atv/utv riding thru out the state of Wisconsin now...Ive been riding Sauk, Adams, Marquette, Green, Iowa, LaFayette counties year round when the roads are not snow covered...Theres a big push here in Rock county to open some roads to atv's...

2007 was the last year for real carbs...In 2008 they kept the carb body style,( for the retro look) but inside there were actual injectors...Also, those bikes were built in Thailand and shipped here to the states...The bikes built in the UK were shipped all over europe...

I had a 07 Speedmaster with the single "Gunslinger" seat...Last year for the classic "Teardrop" tank and real carbs...

Yep...better safe than turn your melon to mush...These bikes today are FAR superior to anything from the 20th century and beyond until 2010+...Then put a fearless kid on the bike, and it's amazing how fast they can go...I spent most of the day at the triple jump...The way the track is setup no one could sky all 3...but a kid racing in 125-A on a 2 smoke KTM was landing further between 2&3 than the 250-A and 450-Pro guys were...The track is 1.25 miles...The kid on that 125 KTM was doing laps consistent right @ 2.00...The lead rider in the 250-A class was less than 2 seconds faster than him...(1.58.7 Lap)

I was at the AZTALAN MX Pro-Am this past sunday...MX racing is alive and well in So Central Wi...Was surprised at how many high dollar mx bikes were there...A person with a well tuned ear for RPM could tell that the KTM/Huskys had superior power to the other bikes...Was also surprised at how many racers had those big dollar bikes and could only race mid-pack or worse...Some were as young as 4 years old, up to 60+... http://www.aztalanmx.com/

YEP...A blast from the past....Jim Cebulski was an old riding/racing bud of mine back then...Last I heard he was retired from local 597 fitters in Chicago, and now retired in Florida...Havent seen one of those "CPI" stickers thats on his hood in decades...That company was owned by Barry Rose in Lemont,il back then...Matter of fact Barry gave us his Open Mod 440 to take with us in 1991 to race @ the Minocqua Cup that year...Made the finals in OM440 finished 4th...Made the finals in HM 440 finished 2nd..."Fast Freddie Klies" who built that rear engine sled was also a friend of mine..."Supertuner" was his username on the old amsnow/racing forum...Unfortunately Fred was involved in a bad auto accident several years ago and suffered a serious TBI and finally succombed to his injuries...He was the smartest guy on the planet when it came to tuning Lectron Carbs...He always kept me updated on his Kawi 750 H2 projects he had going back then...He could make those bikes fly with his turbo/N2O skills...Still some vids of him drag racing his H2 on Youtube...Godspeed...

My prediction is that it does not make the "right Hook" and run up the west coast of Florida...The northern jet stream is going to stear it out into the open hot waters of the Gulf, and it makes landfall somewhere near the Tx/La border at speeds over 200...
