  1. On the drive up to the sled show I was thinking how the Libturds in Peterborough were all up in arms over Del Mastro's campaign overspending (Around 18Gs) & wanted him gone yesterday. Now that Monsef has been caught in a lie about her place of birth, the Libturds say it doesn't matter because she's doing a good job for Peterborough. I haven't heard of any accomplishments other than a grant to the library @ Trent U. As if that will help the chronic unemployment in the city.
  2. Speaking of airheads in the Cabinet; This is what our beloved International Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland had to say after the collapse of the CETA agreement: "It is now evident to me -- evident to Canada -- that the European Union is incapable of reaching an agreement, even with a country with European values such as Canada, even with a country as nice and as patient as Canada," she said in French, her voice breaking. "Canada is disappointed and I personally am disappointed, but I think it's impossible. We are returning home. At least I will see my three children tomorrow at our home." Is she for real? Sounds like something a teenager would say. I heard her appearance on Bill Maher's TV show was pretty bad. "her voice breaking" Lovely a trade deal collapses (not a tragedy IMO) & she's on the verge of tears.
  3. Where is the "Unlike" button? Besides how many women are in the Libtard caucus to pick a replacement?
  4. http://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/2016/10/20/peterborough-kawartha-mp-maryam-monsef-misses-opportunity-to-share-town-hall-results-on-potential-voting-changes So I guess her cross country tour of Canada w/ her town halls was a waste of money. No word on how many Liberal supporters showed up @ the town hall in Apsley.
  5. Some people don't think insurance is worth it. Look at the people that have house or apartment fires & then are on the news pleading their case because they lost EVERYTHING & weren't insured.
  6. Might not be a good idea wearing a Wynnebag mask. Some grown up (w/ a brain) might slug you thinking you were Wynnebag.
  7. http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2012/10/30/paulina-gretzky-halloween-costume_n_2045317.html Not sure who'd be more pissed off, Wayne or the PC police because she's showing so much cleavage.
  8. I'm in the States did they throw out the Cleveland Indians lawsuit?

    Tornado?

Q: What do a tornado, a hurricane and a redneck divorce have in common? A: In the end, someone is going to loose their trailer.
  10. Heading down on Sat'. No shopping just picking up maps to update the lodging database.
  11. Let them bring their age-old battles to Canada. Wasn't there some kind of a dustup in Toronto between neighbours that were of Serbian & Croatian descent during the Yugo civil war? Since I'm of German descent, I want April the 20th off as a holiday. You come to Canada you accept our norms of behaviour, not how you carried on in the old country. I'm sick of this "Canada is strong because of our diversity and inclusiveness". How the pointyheads of this country figure they've got a handle on a matter that other countries around the world are struggling to deal w/ I don't know.

    Blue Jays

I don't think it would matter. The PC asshats like to rain on any parade as they see fit. I'm surprised they dogooders of T.O. haven't campaigned against the annual santa Claus parade because it offends those that don't believe in Santa.

    Blue Jays

And so the nonsense continues: http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/ontario-court-to-consider-application-to-stop-cleveland-from-wearing-offensive-baseball-jerseys-in-toronto The American media will have a field day over this.

    Blue Jays

Now all we seem to be hearing on the news about the ALCS is that the Cleveland baseball team's nickname is offensive. This being Canada (and it's 2016), I think the federal gov't should ban them from Canada until they change the nickname to something that won't offend anyone because of race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity and pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, or parental status . Maybe all teams should just be Toronto B.C., Detroit B.C. etc.
  15. Two women are alleging he groped them, 1 over 30 years ago. Why didn't they say something when Trump entered the race? If they had maybe Trump wouldn't have made it to the primaries.
  16. Looking @ the owner's manual of my brother's new GMC. I see the half tons have a 8 speed "maintenance" free (dipstick-less) trans too. Were these trans developed jointly by GM & Chrysler? I seem to recall reading about a joint venture on a trans' several years ago.
  17. No mention of a model number on the quote.
  18. Change of direction Decided to go w/ a new propane furnace (replacing electric) & AC unit. All quotes include installing piping & removal of old equipment. So far 3 quotes (taxes in) KeepRite - $7232 Lennox - $8978 Napoleon - $9548 I've noticed that several HVAC outfits in the Peterborough area carry KeepRite (including the Lennox dealer). I'm curious why the price for the KeepRite install is $1700 less than the Lennox quote. Is the KeepRite a "lower level" unit compared to the Lennox brand (Hercules or Kumho tires vs a Goodyear or Michelin). Or is the Lennox dealer padding his quote? I wasn't really impressed w/ the Keeprite guy, older w/ many years in the business. Basically said that all brands of furnaces are made by 6 manufacturers & they all use the same components. IMO, he was taking a shot @ the other brands. The other 2 chaps stuck to their brand & didn't bad mouth competitive brands. We've had a Lennox AC for 30 years & haven't had a problem w/ it. I'm leaning towards the Lennox. I've never heard of KeepRite & hate to have problems down the road. This whole HVAC thing is pretty much foreign to me. All I know is I'm leery of going cheap. I had a couple of problems w/ the oil furnace (made in the mid 70s) in my house. The way the blower fan motor was mounted internally it looked like it was cobbled together in someone's garage.
  19. Less than 6 weeks to go for election night. I guess after the election, CBC, CTV & Global can start ignoring US politics (as per usual) & will go back to covering the Lil' Potato lovefest.
  20. And she is going to help Canada how? If anything any media coverage on this side of the border should be neutral. Why should the MSM be cheerleading for another country's leader?
  21. Less than 6 weeks to election day. Yesterday the Canadian media had wall to wall coverage of the debates. Is that necessary? Don't they realize most Canadians have access to the US networks? I'm pretty sure the average Canadian doesn't give a shit about the US election. Besides we can't even vote so what's the big deal? CP24/CTV had wonderful coverage Mon' night during the debate. They were at a pub in T.O.with a gathering of US ex-pat Democrats. You can pretty much expect what the comments were like.
  22. The way things are going any company bidding on Federal gov't contracts will have to have a workforce that reflects Canada's diversity. I wonder how a construction company w/ a predominately straight male work force will address that? Hire any & all non-white, LGBT applicants regardless of their qualifications? I guess so since it's 2016...
  23. "Dear Wynnebag: Rather than carry on about changing every law or reg' to suit the LGBT community, how about adding a decibel limit to the regulation?" How hard would that be? Years ago they changed the MSV Act pertaining to operator ages pretty fast. I bet that would be change lauded across the province. Nothing like an idgit on a Harley w/ a modded exhaust roaring thru your neighbourhood @ 11:30 PM.
  24. The only thing he has is a last name. Monsef says her mother didn't think her place of birth was a big deal when filling out her application. With a mother like that is it any surprise the daughter is a flake? She hasn't done anything in the riding since her election. She's had a town hall on to how to improve the local economy. Well when 8 of the 10 largest employers are the public sector, it doesn't bode well for Joe or Jane Average who are just looking for a job. Then she get the Cabinet post because of what she has between her legs and where Justy thought she was from because it sure isn't on her job experience.
