Whats funny is i dont remember the same union workers at GM being as concerned for the Canadian public and consumers and the price of the vehicles at their last contract bargaining. It was all we deserve. I had a family member working in Oshawa and the stories he and his union buddies told did nothing to convince me that GM was getting good value for their money. Unfortunately if the old union guard has changed and the new union worker is different it takes a lot to change the view of the management and public.

Fail any tax costs us money. It doesn’t matter how you try to argue or what a politician promises you in a rebate or tax credit. If they are talking a carbon tax and you burn any fossil fuel in any activity in your life right down to heating your house or water it costs you money. And if you believe that a government tax program that creates a huge beauracracy will be revenue neutral you believe in the Easter bunny, Santa Claus and voting and voting for Justin Trudeau is a good idea.

Fail, what is so tough for you to understand? Doug Ford does not control pipelines or oil prices. Ford can try to reduce taxes on the gasoline. THe majority of oil used in Eastern Canada refineries comes from offshore. Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain. It is purchased at world market prices. It is cheaper to buy offshore then ship oil across canada. Most of Alberta oil is land locked and stuck going to USA where we are at the mercy of USA markets as our only purchaser. Oil pipelines across Canada would open the markets for Canadian oil. Would it reduce price of gas in Canada if we could send by pipeline to East Coast? Maybe, maybe not. But if the oil Canadian oil could be transported by pipeline and eventually sold at global market prices instead of being sold at a discount in USA it would be better for Canada. Greater revenues = greater taxes for the Canadian coffers.

A friend of a friend read on the internet that you won’t need gas as they all blow up immediately so better just plan short rides with tilt n loads nearby.

That was started 40 years ago when the city stopped building subways and roads. There were zero significant transit projects started for many years. So the Liberals refuse to allow access to information about the Brampton MP Grewal gambling debts and who repaid them and Failmaker is quiet. Millions repaid mysteriously and nothing to see. Duffy had a $90,000 expense claim and Liberals cried for months. I see a lot more issue with millions of gambling debt repaid in weeks then $90,000 in expense claims that followed the rules, no charges, and Duffy is still a senator. Where are the newspaper outrage?
