I have a couple products that many would label Chinese garbage and I am completely happy with them. They function 100%, are of good quality and the purchase prices were attractive. Don't forget that it wasn't all that long ago everyone was laughing at this upstart auto maker named Hyundai and their sh*tty Pony hatchback. Nobody is laughing at those guys now.

X2 on the Antigravity brand of mini booster packs. I have a Microstart XP-1 and it has worked on everything from a dead ATV to a V10 Triton powered MH with a battery that was flatter than piss on a plate. By comparison my buddy bought a similar sized and looking unit from Crappy Tire and it was absolute garbage. I believe the largest one Antigravity makes is called the XP10. I know that unit will bring a stone dead Cummins diesel to life in -20 temps.

I heard that B trail through Bigwind Park will be closed this year. It was bad enough losing D102B (the Baysville Expressway) due to the bridge fiasco, but this really drives a bunch of nails in the coffin.

The economy is doing pretty well, anyone can see that. Baby boomers moving north does have an effect locally for some of the trades, but that has jack shit to do with new heavy truck dealerships, extruded pipe manufacturing or corporate expansion. Honestly the only guys I know that are complaining about cutbacks, wage freezes and increased work load all are employed by local municipalities or other public services (district health board etc.).

I'm certainly not a fan of C u next Tuesday Wynne, but I certainly don't see any economic doom and gloom from where I'm standing, quite the opposite in fact. All the trades are busier than they have ever been, most are booked well into next summer. All of them are having trouble finding labour, even unskilled, and they all pay over $15/hr to start. A local manufacturer of extruded pipe is busier than they have ever been and are currently advertising job postings. Another manufacturer of stone products is taking orders into next spring and don't expect any winter lay offs. The company I work for recently made a $1 billion+ aquisition and they are still expanding. They even pay a pretty generous bonus for referrals of skilled workers that get hired. Currently there is a new heavy truck dealership being built right next to our shop, and a huge medical marijuana grow op around the corner. I could go on, but you get the idea. So as effed up as the Liberals social policies can be, and as badly as they have screwed up hydro with the Green Energy Act, they must be getting a few things right.

The OFSC/government partnership that allowed police to patrol private property and prevented clubs from giving permits to landowners resulted in the loss of so many trails it's staggering. Blatant OFSC fuck up that drove yet another nail in the coffin.

I think we'll get into a situation where almost every impaired by pot charge is going to be contested. The technology just isn't available to prove impairment and the Crown is going to have a tough time making those charges stick. Huge waste of resources.

I heard a recent University of Calgary study confirmed even minimal exposure to second-hand pot smoke can result in a failed drug test. The lawyers are going to be dining out on contesting every driving while impaired by drugs charge. What a shite-show it is going to be.

Quite frankly I find it completely disgusting that anyone could think the victims of residential schools don't deserve an official apology and some sort of compensation. Same as those that were victimized by the 60's scoop.
