The Brits eh? Looks like this is exactly what we said it was... How many of you are going to send your kids to die for some Russian oil?

Its likely all the pro Ukraine war mongers on here don't have sons of military age or at all for that matter.

The best part about this whole thing is that no US troops are involved, Ukraine wants to fight for their independence from an aggressor neighbor who are we to stand in their way. Russia has 60,000 KIA troops in less than a year which is multiple times more than they had in Afghanistan.  What would happen to any leader who spent so many lives for an optional war?  A war of Conquest really.

Let them kill each other off we just need to stay the fuck out of it so we aren't drawn into it.

They should be in there. Russia has been tinkering around in Ukraine since the mid nighties. We were late to the party.

I guess we will see just how weak the Russian army is as they go head to head against the full might of NATO. Since we aren't pretending NATO isn't there. LOL

Hell the Ukrainians have been training with NATO for nearly 10 years.  My point is if they want to fight for their independence and are willing to put skin in the game why not help them.  We as a country have put our own soldiers in harms way to liberate countries who really did not put the effort in.

NATO isn't leaving this up to the Nazis anymore.

I think the Russians were crazy to think they were going to take Ukraine by force and NATO would just sit by and take it. The rules have been the same for most countries if you want to kill people kill your own citizens and the international community will leave you alone. Start taking real-estate from another county and you have problems.

Russians haven't tried to take Ukraine. I have employees with family in Ukraine, they have been plenty safe there. The russians occupied eastern Ukraine which was being attacked by Ukraine. This has all been orchestrated to bring us to where we are now. And could all have been avoided and even been a non issue.

What about Crimea? Look the Russians want a Sea port as they are poor country without good access to the sea. The big Navy Base on Crimea a left over from the soviet era is a huge reason Crimea was taken. Russia is stuck in Kherson because they wanted Odesa and overreached their military abilities. The rest of the Iron curtain Nations on the far side of Ukraine surly would not be comfortable with Russia taking over.

They should choose for themselves. We should not choose it for them. Not at these costs. The rest of the world is not worth sacrificing for this small area.

I think one of the big problems in Crimea was the Navy base as it brought in Russian citizens that were not loyal to the Ukrainians but Russia. All of that would be fine if they were treated as visitors and not allowed to embroil themselves in local politics. I think the same can be for the Donetsk region.
