1trailmaker
Pickeral River bridge reopen - hard to believe in under 20 years they had to replace steel deck and fix many other things to make it safe. you can see the new 400 bridge in the background District 11
revrnd
My fear is that in 2 or 3 years (or however long the gap is) the same issues are found on the French River bridge & it gets closed for repairs...

steve6
Good to see you getting out! bad bad year for central ontario/Muskoka. I haven't even put my sled on the trailer yet, couldn't be bothered to do the rail line in hali or drive all the way to bancroft with how busy it would have been. Next weekend.. I'm just glad it's only 20 minutes or so to the Coe Hill lot. Met 5 guys there that had left Hamilton around 6 AM to hit the snow. Talking to them @ the end of the day & I think they did around 250 klicks. We did 190.

Talking to 2 sledders that messaged the club about the SUV & they said he wanted to visit the park. He drove past where the walkers & skiers park... I think the main entrance is on the other side of the park. But you can never understand these dolts.

So much work in that area. I'm going up next week or week after that, I really enjoy the loops you can do. I wonder how long DEE DEE will be there, tough go in Alban

I wonder how long DEE DEE will be there, tough go in Alban Trails go under Hiway 69, pretty slick. Crossing railway tracks on Hiway 607 were no problem with a little snow base. It was our first time in the area and we will go back for sure. Kind of sad that we actually had to trailer there, (30 minutes) but so be it this year. Hopefully Dee Dee makes a go of it, nice lady and we had a long chat with her. She has other forms of income to hold on until the place gets going. Says she will be advertising on OFSC map next year as sledders are important to her. Went across farmers field with clearly marked 'Stay on Trail or lose it' type signage but it didn't matter, freekin trails all over. People are there own worst enemy. Yesterday trailered South (seems kinda funny) and rode the Seguin trail for the first time. Now I see why people say they get ticketed on it, very fast and sweeping. Ate at 'Forks on Main' in Kearney, nice place with good signage to find it. Figured we'd better ride with the dreary forecast.

Ardbeg for lunch yesterday, Grandson had a snow day so he jumped on the Mach to ride with Dad. Food was much better than in past and server paid special attention to Grandson's order of Hot Chocolate with whipped cream. Shout out to Loggers Station House, know it's been tough on them with the shitty, short seasons. 2

oldslowsledder
We were out riding Georgian Bay yesterday, son knows the swamps and back channels well, where to go and where to stay away from. Was a bumpy ride, snow drifts out in the open and some slushy sections in protected areas. Grandson tagged along, no school bus.
revrnd
From Monday's ride on E208: 120 klicks between Ptbo & Campbellford w/ a side trip to Keene. I imagine the folks I was talking to last winter from there have had a few rides from home this season.
