California trucking emission regulations ... rule will go into effect this January 1st, banning diesel trucks with engines made before 2010.

What CA is not going to enforce there laws? Funny because just a few weeks ago Newsom was on the so called  news talking about how All drayage trucks entering port terminals must comply with the state law regulating Drayage Trucks and the state will be sending more agents to help out over the transition.

But what ever

What ain’t going to happen is any disruption in the transportation of goods. There’s an adequate supply of newer trucks.

They say over 1/2 the comercial trucks operating in the state of CA will not qualify to operate in the state . And the day  trucks doing the short runs say the rail yard are more often than not the older trucks that may not need to be as reliable as The otr trucks tend to be the newer units  .

Not really one of my best buds has been in the freight game for 35 yrs. Head of traffic for mn largest window manufacture for the last 15 . He also runs a side hot shot gig running 5 guys . Let's just say not many trips go by with out having to over hear at least 2 hrs a day of cargo talk.
