The only way they know how to wage a war through a centralized command structure and heavy use of artillery. They have a lot of artillery so this could go on for awhile. Eventually Russia will be basically turning ruble into ruble. Putin is obliterating the population centers that are Russian friendly. A very strange strategy, but one that bodes well for the west.
