Rap these days has select songs that are decent but no good albums but thats the same IMO for all types of music generally these days. its a singles market. Almost all the new rap/r&b/whatever the fuck it's called is trash. Now NWA, 2 Live Crew and that era Rap is awesome! That voice synthesis shit makes me want want to stab an ice pic in my ear.
