This is quite a story.  Other than Arctic Insider covering it, I don't know if anyone else in the sno-mo-media has said much about it:

The owner of Shock Shop is raising money for charity by trying to break the work record for distance travelled in a 24-hour period by a single rider on a single snowmobile.  

He's doing it on a lake near Grand Marais, MN and has set up his Thundercat with all kinds of cool stuff to make refueling faster, protect from the wind, etc.

Pretty impressive, whether he makes it or not!

Yup, moved it to Lake of the Woods due to too much snow to start grooming on Devil's Track out of Grand Marais.

Looks like he set 3 different records, nearing 24 hours and they're bringing him in.  Well done!
