I don't think it being a hybrid has anything to do with it....unless the generator isn't available on the gas version... :dunno:

the hybrid has a battery that delivers power without the engine running until battery is depleted..  plus it’s a pure sin wave which you don’t get from a standard generator.  Closest to this on a generator level and the quality of power at 7.2 kw is a $5000 Honda inverter generator

And that's still a fuck of alot cheaper than a 50000+ pick up truck.

You probably have a $70k+ pickup sitting around without a built in generator

800 bucks instead of $60,000.

No offense to the poster but BFD.

Those 800 dollar generators can do alot of damage to certain things though....its not clean power...inverter genny is the wtg.

Tesla solar powerwall system is a cool idea. Cost needs to come down a bit. And it will.

EV Vehicle to grid in emergencies will be awesome.

Would suck to have a natural gas powered backup generator the past few days in Texas....

Everything has its negatives eventually....you just have a boner for green stuff...I get it....its useless up here.

You don’t thinks it cool the guy powered his needs from a built in generator from his f150?
