The state agency that is investigating this issued a statement saying they weren't even informed about the DA doing this! They said their investigation is not even complete yet but they will finish it... So what happens if/when the state finds no grounds for charges? motonoggin
So, did it become a 'lethal weapon' before or after the cop got it taken from him?

Let’s be honest here and realize that shitbags like Phoenix (and many here) get a hard on when cops shoot black dudes in the back.

It was a lethal weapon when the DA argued last week it was. I thought that was typed out quite succinctly the first time.

According to Georgia law it becomes a deadly weapon when used in the act against a person that becomes a felony. You might not agree with the laws and think this should have been handled differently but the officer acted within the law. Should of it been handled differently....yes. Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted June 18, 2020 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted June 18, 2020 Just now, Snake said: no. Another officer was with him. If the lead officer was tased and incapacitated the 2nd officer could have shot him if he was going back after the officers weapon. If you are alone and someone points a taser at you then use your firearm. Multiple officers on scene should change how quick deadly force is used. Just my HO. motonoggin
Idk who needs to hear this, but cops aren't supposed to kill guilty people either.

Yes, but he was a tremendous threat to the community. He could’ve killed someone with a spent taser gun. No one knows how, but it could’ve happened. spin_dry
That cop is done. He completely lost his composure. A composed cop would’ve understood that there was no threat to the general public or himself. Kicking the dead guy simply adds to proving that he viewed him as subhuman.
