Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted June 17, 2020 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted June 17, 2020 (edited) Some qualified immunity must exist or our courts will be filled with frivolous suits against cops (the few that stay in LE.) Hard to imagine with the hatred of police anyone risking being a cop if they could be sued for anything and everything. You do realize QI does not exist if they break the law? If we just properly charge them when they break the law the QI issue becomes irrelevant. They should not be able to be sued for legally doing their job. If we are going to eliminate all QI for all police the same better be done for prosecutors, judges and parole boards. Are the taxpayers on the hook for your malfeasance? If the taxpayer is the one hiring, how does the taxpayer fire them, or fire you?
motonoggin
Cops are quitting because they can't just be an unaccountable armed gang that does what it wants.
