yes because  US is the #1 user of medicines and the place were there is no control over what you can charge is meaningless to drug companies projections.  SMH

There is zero empirical evidence that shows that the US market 'subsidizes' the rest of the world's UHC programs. In fact it's an utterly preposterous, and highly arrogant claim.

Except we pay a fuck ton more for the same health care goods and services enabling advancement and existence of overall infrastructure.

You'd have to be a fucking retard to deny it

you're free to provide empirical evidence that shows the amount budgeted for R&D spending is a direct result of the additional profits earned domestically in the US.

Studies have been done that prove the exact opposite though.

And just an aside, being on the same side as Rush Limbaugh on a topic is never a good thing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a good 1/4 of income tax goes to health care funding in Canada.

Its a great system for when you need it. But it’s a system full of extreme waste.

Well it's a fraction of the waste of our convoluted for profit system that pushes people into extreme situations and benefits only the corporations

The doctors up here fuck the system just like in the states but there is some control.

Equipment is fucking stupid in cost.

Drugs are cheaper but without coverage it’s still pricey.

A two tier system would b the best case.

We essentially have a two tier system.

Huh?

I can't go and plunk down a envelope of cash to cut the line or get treatment quicker in Canada for surgeries etc on a norm.  Some provinces let you pay for an MRI then it allows that business to do a person waiting on the provincial system in their clinic for free.  Its awesome.

I'd be perfectly fine with a fee charged for certain visits to hospitals.  Its not sustainable to keep running it like it is.
