how is a TAX a deduction for your TAX   holy fuck how stupid

if you make under 70k you do not see any increase CPC  lies to you daily

If you make more than 70k the most it will increase is 3.50 a week - if this is killing you than you need to rethink your life plan.

3 dollars a week

https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/publicpensions/cpp/contributions.html

With very few exceptions, every person over the age of 18 who works in Canada outside of Quebec and earns more than a minimum amount ($3,500 per year) must contribute to the Canada Pension Plan (CPP). If you have an employer, you pay half the required contributions and your employer pays the other half. If you are self-employed, you make the whole contribution.

The maximum contribution to the base CPP for employers and employees in 2022 is $3,499.80.

The federal website does not mention the word tax at all :dunno:

Payroll taxes have increased in 2023, and are likely to increase for 2024 as well. The Employment Insurance (EI) rate has increased from 1.58% to 1.63%, based on maximum yearly insurable of earnings of $61,500. Businesses pay CPP :dunno:  so you understand PAYROLL TAXES is not taxing YOU it is the price of business and hiring.

Notice how it then says INSURANCE RATES going up- not mentioning taxes at all

Notice CPP RATES are going up

You are upset that an employer has to give more to an employee

Dude stop, if you don’t know just ask instead of trying to pretend you know

Contributions to CPP are compulsory for all working Canadians aged 18-70. Employees and employers contribute equally on earnings that are between the Basic Exemption amount and the Year's Maximum Pensionable Earnings (YMPE). In 2023, contributions on those earnings are 5.95% by employees and 5.95% by employers
