He is currently playing with the Straubing Tigers in the German hockey league. He was drafted 41st overall by the Colorado Avalanche but seemed to like fighting more than playing so very slim chance he will ever lace it up for them now. Not sure what happened, even his dad didn't really know but he gave up his goal scoring prowess in exchange for fighting. I have known him a bit since he came to my knee and he was always a hyper sort but was always on the small/thin size. When he got drafted out of Plymouth he started bulking up bigtime in anticipation of making the bigs but took to fighting rather than working on his skill. His dad was a pretty good hockey player so Mitch had it in his DNA and I honestly thought someday I'd see him in the bigs but it's all for naught now, unfortunately.
