  1. Dodging their financial obligations? If this gets out, they might wind up running the country. Time to make a call to Deutsche Bank.
  2. And yet, the same people tend to continue getting re-elected over and over and over. I guess it's a matter of, hey my rep is cool but everyone else's sucks.
  3. It was awfully generous of the mine owners to give all those miners some time off so they could attend.
  4. Trump supporters last summer be like, "Don't vote for Crooked Hillary, she's corrupt!" Trump supporters now defending Trump be like, "All politicians are corrupt so it doesn't matter."
  5. The way I see it there are two camps and I didn't take you for a democrat, by deduction the other camp would be republican. Unless you're one of the above it all wishy washy both parties suck types. I can't stand that mentality. This is the system we have, pick a side. You can be on the moderate end of either side, sure. i get my insurance through my employer, and well their employer is the government. Just like I do, their employer pays part of it and they have to chip in the rest. Unlike myself, however most, then purchase their coverage through the D.C. Obamacare exchange marketplace. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.marketplace.org/amp/2017/07/17/health-care/ive-always-wondered/here-where-us-congress-buys-its-health-insurance
  6. This article isn't saying what slimy Roger and some here think it says. They state that more people are on the registry list than who all currently reside there or may be eligible. And just so we're clear it wouldn't be the first time someone's lied to get out of jury duty. In addition, many people are registered in more than one state including Steven Bannon, Tiffany Trump, Sean Spicer, Jared Kushner, and Steve Mnuchen.
  7. I guess if it gets repeated enough, you can convince convince the American people of anything, regardless of facts. That's the only way people's irrational fear of a grandma in a pastel pant suit makes any sense.
  8. Fire up the Delorean, Marty! While we're at it, I'd love to go back to the premiums just before the Bush Jr era during which premiums for employer sponsored health insurance rose by 99%.
  9. As one of the sites resident libtards, I'll take a stab at this. First of all, I agree that he should do exactly what he's threatened, albeit for different reasons than those from your camp. It's a great way to spur change. Taking 7 billion dollars out of the ball game is absolutely going to put a strain on his own supporters along with other ACA enrollees. It's all fun and games till it hits you in the pocket book with the American voter. After that, it's a matter of who they blame. I'm wagering that T dog and down ballot congressmen with an R next to their take the hit. And I think he knows it which probably makes this just another empty threat, but we can hope.
  10. If I spoke like he did at work, I'd have lost my job a lot quicker than he did.
  11. Thank you for your service. I hope others will join me, and in so doing, will grant you the respect and admiration you've been longing for. Once that's done we can all get back to practicing the first amendment rights you've helped preserve for all Americans.
  12. Except for this: Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
  13. I couldn't agree more. Any you'd think the supposed "freedom caucus" would be the first on board to legalize all drugs in the name of well, freedom, liberty, conservatism, whatever adjective you prefer. But I don't hear any forward momentum from them on this. Not much on the liberal side either, other than pot at the state level.
  14. You sound like a dolt. There are obviously differences in process, justification, etc. But at the end of the day, do they not both result in money being somewhat forced to change hands from an individual to the government. At least that's how I take Anler's analogy.
  15. I believe the "selling of fetus parts" propaganda was proven false. I do like the idea though of the parts being put to some good use rather than just disposed of, whether they be sold or donated.
