Sen. Tommy Tuberville Says 'Woke Globalists' Are ‘Pushing Kids’ To Become Transgender Athletes In Women’s SportsJazmin Tolliver Sun, April 6, 2025 at 9:26 PM UTC 2 min read Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) is taking aim at the “woke globalists” who he claims are “pushing kids” to become transgender athletes in women’s sports. “We have entire men’s teams across this country now that are turning trans — women’s teams — they’re turning trans,” Tuberville, 70, told guest host Jackie DeAngelis while appearing on Sunday’s episode of Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.” He continued, “That’s going to be a situation where it’s going to pick up speed because these woke globalists are pushing these kids to say, ‘if you can’t compete in men’s sports, let’s just transition and say you’re a woman and participate in women’s sports.’” Advertisement Tuberville declared the situation “dead wrong,” adding, “We gotta stand up against it, but the Democrats are all in.” Tuberville’s comments came after the Republican senator’s measure to preserve Title IX protections for female athletes by restricting transgender students from playing on women’s sports teams failed to garner the votes it needed to break the filibuster earlier this month. Republicans needed 60 votes to pass the bill, but it only received 51, with no Democrats backing the bill. The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act introduced by Tuberville would have helped prop up President Donald Trump’s executive order that he signed off on in February, which seeks to end transgender student participation in women’s and girls’ sports. Advertisement The Trump administration, who focused on erasing LGBTQ freedoms as one of its main campaign issues, showed support for the initiative ahead of the vote. “This bill would expressly recognize what is already federal law — that it is an illegal act of discrimination for a man to participate in a federally funded athletic program or activity designated for women or girls,” the administration said in a statement.

Science No Brains, No Pain: Scientists Aim to Grow ‘Spare’ Human Bodies in the Lab For Medical MiraclesStanford scientists are quietly developing a new kind of lab-grown body that could change how we treat disease, grow organs, and test new drugs. These bodies don’t think, feel, or suffer—but they look disturbingly human. Arezki Amiri Published on April 3, 2025 Read : 3 min 0 No Brains, No Pain: Scientists Aim to Grow ‘Spare’ Human Bodies in the Lab For Medical Miracles | The Daily Galaxy --Great Discoveries Channel Researchers at Stanford University have proposed a concept that could transform modern medicine: lab-grown human “bodyoids” created entirely from stem cells and developed without consciousness. These engineered bodies, which lack the capacity for awareness or pain, could potentially provide an unlimited supply of organs for transplantation, eliminate much of the need for animal testing, and enable the development of highly personalized medical treatments. A New Biological Solution to Medical BottlenecksA critical issue facing the biomedical field is the shortage of ethically sourced human biological materials. This shortage impacts everything from organ transplantation to drug development. According to the MIT Technology Review, more than 100,000 people in the United States alone are on the waiting list for solid organ transplants. Researchers argue that our reliance on animal testing and the slow pace of human clinical trials are rooted in the same underlying scarcity. Human bodies are not only biologically necessary for testing but also difficult to ethically obtain, making progress in treatments and therapeutics slow and costly. To solve this, scientists are looking at pluripotent stem cells—early-stage cells that can become any tissue in the human body. By leveraging these cells and advancing technologies like artificial wombs, researchers are working toward creating structures that resemble early-stage human embryos. When combined with genetic modifications that block brain development, these structures could evolve into fully-formed human bodies, entirely grown outside the womb, and devoid of consciousness. The Rise of Sentience-Free Human ModelsThese proposed entities, known as bodyoids, would serve as ethically sourced biological systems for scientific use. Because they would not develop neural pathways or consciousness, researchers suggest that bodyoids could bypass the moral concerns typically associated with human experimentation. According to the article, “recent advances in biotechnology now provide a pathway to producing living human bodies without the neural components that allow us to think, be aware, or feel pain.” This approach could remove significant barriers in bioethics, enabling more effective and humane research. Scientists envision bodyoids being used to grow transplant-ready organs matched to a patient’s DNA, avoiding the problem of immune rejection. Because these tissues would be created from a patient’s own stem cells, the body would likely recognize them as native. That could eliminate the need for long-term immunosuppressive drugs and their associated risks. The same process could also be used to test the effectiveness of drugs on a patient-specific model, greatly advancing the field of personalized medicine. Ethical Discomfort and Scientific PotentialDespite their benefits, bodyoids remain highly controversial. The notion of creating human-like bodies without consciousness triggers deep moral unease. While we already study tissues from the dead and perform experiments on “animated cadavers” — patients declared legally dead whose organs are kept functioning through mechanical means — the idea of constructing entire human forms from scratch introduces new ethical dilemmas. The primary concern is that this innovation could “diminish the human status of real people who lack consciousness or sentience,” raising questions about how society defines human identity and moral worth. Another layer of concern involves consent. Bodyoids would need to be generated from someone’s cells, and those individuals would need to fully understand and agree to the process—especially given the emotional and cultural implications of such use. Scientists are also questioning whether bodyoids could survive long enough to be medically useful without any brain function, and whether they would effectively mimic human biology without neural input. The answers remain unknown, and many technical challenges still lie ahead. Beyond Humans: Agriculture and the Future of BodyoidsThe concept of bodyoids is not limited to humans. The same methodology could be applied to nonhuman animals, potentially allowing for the production of lab-grown meat or animal-derived products without killing sentient beings. This could present a more ethical alternative to factory farming, providing food and materials without the associated suffering. While no bodyoids have been fully realized yet, the convergence of technologies—stem cells, synthetic embryos, gene editing, and artificial gestation—makes the prospect increasingly plausible. The researchers involved argue that governments, private investors, and ethical boards should begin preparing for the implications now. The technology is still in its early stages, but its path is clear enough to warrant real scientific attention and policy discussion.- Jean-Claude Van Damme Accused of Having Sexual Relations with Trafficked Romanian Women
Jean-Claude Van Damme Accused of Having Sexual Relations with Trafficked Romanian Women Kimberlee Speakman Wed, April 2, 2025 at 11:09 AM CDT Richard Milnes/Shutterstock Jean-Claude Van Damme in Sydney, Australia in 2020 Criminal charges have reportedly been filed against the actor Jean-Claude Van Damme in Romania. A criminal complaint was filed with the Romanian Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) against the Streetfighter star, 64, alleging that he knowingly engaged in sexual relations with women trafficked by a criminal group led by Morel Bolea, according to CNN affiliate Antena 3. The incident allegedly took place in Cannes, where the actor is accused of having received five Romanian women as a "gift" with prior knowledge that they came from a group of traffickers, according to the criminal complaint obtained by the outlet. Attorney Adrian Cuculis, who represents one of the victims, told the outlet that the women "were in a state of vulnerability, with the suspicion that they were exploited within the meaning of Article 182 of the Criminal Code." Tobias Hase/picture-alliance/dpa/AP Jean-Claude Van Damme in 2017 Van Damme’s representatives and DIICOT did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. One of the women who witnessed the incident — which reportedly occurred at an event organized by Van Damme in Cannes — shared what she saw with prosecutors, according to Antenna 3 CNN. This prompted the DIICOT to open a criminal investigation into the incident. “Several Romanians who are currently being investigated for forming a criminal group and pimping, allegedly offered Jean-Claude Van Damme five Romanian women — photo models in Romania — for him to have sexual relations with. The person who received those benefits knew their condition,” attorney Adrian Cuculis told the outlet in a translated post. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? As for what happens next, the High Court of Cassation in France — where Cannes is located — must authorize criminal proceedings and the suspects identified in the case will be summoned to Romania to give statements, Antena 3 reported.- FAKE: Trump Press Secretary Reacts to Report That Musk Is on His Way Out
Trump Press Secretary Reacts to Report That Musk Is on His Way OutMalcolm Ferguson Wed, April 2, 2025 at 6:22 PM UTC 1 min read White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt thinks that reports of Elon Musk’s potential leave of absence from the Trump administration are “garbage.” A story Wednesday from Politico’s Rachael Bade posits that Trump has communicated to his inner circle that although he isn’t displeased with Musk’s performance as the federal government’s malevolent auditor, the two men mutually decided that it was time for Musk to “return to his businesses and take on a supporting role,” according to three anonymous insiders. Some speculate that Musk’s current business failings are the cause for the shift. Others note that it might be intended to preempt any future liability Musk and his strangeness may pose to the administration. Either way, Leavitt swears that none of it is true. “This ‘scoop’ is garbage,” Leavitt wrote on X about an hour after Bade’s story broke. “Elon Musk and President Trump have both publicly stated that Elon will depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete.” There are no further details on the timeline of Musk’s departure, what exactly Musk’s “supporting role” would be, or how it’s any different from what he’s doing now.- Now that's a good Dad...: 😂

The oilfield, around 170 km (106 miles) off the coast of Shenzhen, sits at an average water depth of 100 metres, the report said, adding that test drilling has yielded a daily production of 413 barrels of crude oil and 68,000 cubic metres of natural gas. Huizhou 19-6 is China's first large-scale integrated clastic oilfield in the deep to ultra-deep layers, the report said. Such reserves are challenging for oil and gas exploration, given the high temperatures and pressures exerted at these depths. China wants to reduce its import dependency to bolster its energy security, but its crude oil imports are expected to peak as early as next year as transport fuel demand begins to decline for the world's top oil buyer.
