On Saturday I pulled a little 2 pound picnic roast out of the freezer and into the fridge to thaw so I could smoke it on Sunday. Well it was still frozen at 3pm Sunday so I left it and ate something else. I threw it on the smoker last night at 6pm figgering 4-5 hours and it should be done. I smoked it at 230 for 4 hours and the temp only got to 155. I cranked the smoker up to 250 and 2 hours later it was at 165. Upped the smoker to 300 for an hour and it onl;y got me to 167. I shut the smoker down, tossed the roast in a container and in the fridge. Off to bed. Thought I killed it. I heated it up in the micro wave tonight expecting it be all dried out and crap but its actually damn good. Its super lean, like a ham. I put some honer BBQ sauce on it and she's perfect. Baked potatoe covered in creamed corn for sides. Had to have seconds. Banana bread for dessert.

Who would of thought Bubba was capable of having a race like this? Edit, spoke too soon.

Thinking my thoughts. My current house for the last 18 years was 1600 sqft until I added another 180 sqft 2 years ago. We rarely go in the basement. I'd like to turn it into an apartment but the wife won't let me. I lived in a 1000 sqft trailer for 4 years before this. Never felt the need for more. I felt the need for a garage though.....lol Now my 1500 sqft shop I'd never give up.

Those tiny homes are fantastic. My son is in a 550 sqft apartment on the 10th floor of a high rise in Calgary and he's paying $1750/month rent plus utilities. He could buy the unit he lives in for $260k, Canadian dollars, which is cheap compared to Ontario prices. He would be all over something like this but you couldn't build that in Canada.
