Every year Rupert and I rasie funds to give back to the organization that saved his life and enrieched mine. I know money is tight and I don't want anyone to feel any pressure to donate. We are accepting positive thoughts and comments as well!!! As many know, Rupert was hit by a car Christmas eve 2009. I found him while on duty Christmas morning. He was in the median of the 401 and had been there so long his body heat melted the ice and snow leaving him in a puddle of water. Despite several broken bones in his left rear leg and a blown out right rear knee he did not whimper, bark or bite when I picked him up. I could hear his bones grinding... but he was tough!! and stubborn...soooo very stubborn. A plea for his owner went out... he was only about a year old and obviously some ones pet. Turned out he was owned by a violent drug dealer who used to beat on him (drug dealer burned to death in deal gone bad 6mnths later). The plea brought in enough donations to fix Ruperts injuries and with the donation of an amazing rehab vet, Dr Cherie White he learned to walk again!! He can now chase down rabbits and squirrels!!! Please add your own stories to this thread as well!!! I've attached the donation site... I don't think it accepts PayPal but if you want to donate and want to use that format I will gladly accept and add it to the total. Sigh... yep, sounds about right. There is a section of 15 going souyh out of Smitjs Falls with signs along the shoulder specifcally saying no passing on the right. You'd be amazed how many idiots actually hit these signs trying to pass..

The stretches of hwy 15 he was talking about are signed as suchbas well. Very frustrating exoerience!

Sigh... my whole long winded answer disappeared!! First of all...need to point out the black and white of this. Regardless of the lane another vehicle is in...if they are going the speed limit you can not pass them. If you do, you are now speeding and can be fined as such. There are NO exemptions for the speed limits other than emergency services vehicles...that does NOT include the green flashing lights. They are NOT allowed to exceed the posted limits. To your question... I know 15 very well and can picture the spots you are talking about. Here's the theory... Yellow lines are cautionary lines, for example a solid line (double or single) indicates an area unsafe for passing due to hills, corners, driveways etc.... But there is no charge for passing on a solid line. Should you choose to pass you should know that in todays climate, the driver you are passing will most likely call the police to report it. Then it becomes officers discretion based on the witness and your story as well as any other factors. Fines could range from unsafe pass, speeding, careless to simply a warn or nothing at all. Its a turning lane. I'm not familiar with that stretch but in this area setups like that have actual painted turning indicators in the lane as well. The dashed/dotted yellow line just indicates you can enter that lane for its intended purpose. It is a confusing paint scheme to be sure and I've not seen nor heard of any charges stemming from it. In the absence of painted turn indicators or signage I'd think one would do well in court if charged.

Didn't take Craig long to prove me right. Have never seen such blatant fear of anything different then him. Clearly has some internal issues. Perhaps questioning his own identify. Like a child throwing a tantrum, hiding behind mommy's apron while insulting, Craig Hides behind the keyboard.

Craig is just a racist homophobe... afraid of the police. he will continue to rant regardless of the situation as long as there are police involved. Afraid of anything that is different then him... @irv I had HUGE ant problem this year with several nests and coming in the house. I used this: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/raid-liquid-ant-killer-0593936p.html#srp I squirted it by entrances and onto the nests. The first day I could see thousands of ants coming back and forth to it. Within about 3 days... 0 ants anywhere. Not sure about longevity but its been about 3wks so far.

Sigh.... Figured as much.
