French doctors say they found a Covid-19 patient from December
I'm skeptical. Even then this whole thing falls at their feet.

Fucking right they do. When do you think they knew? October?

Mike has changed the way I cook
Yeah it's spiked some, but it's a really weird thing right now. Our in store sales are killing it....but it's only for the ones running at full song.

No, we are at the point were we have a co-packer manufacture it. I could never keep up at this point. In the beginning we made it at the restaurant but that would have never worked as busy as this had gotten. We hit 10,000 bottles sold in 6 months last year. I'm over 5k already so far with 2/3 of my stores throttled back.

I appreciate the order. It'll go out tomorrow UPS. As far as the vendors go, we wanted to make sure that this thing would grow and sell. I didn't take any investors because if this was going to win or fail it was going to be because of me. I do have one distribution outlet that will take us to a more regional level, but that all comes at a cost. I don't know if this thing grows with us just plopping the product out there.....we usually have people vouching for the product or reviewing it and that is how we started. In July of 2019 we had about 20 stores selling our product, I expect that number to top 100 this year. Slow growth is good with me, I just need to make sure we grow this business the right way.

I should have product late this week or really early next. They started bottling Thursday and Friday, but we have 7,200 ordered for the first run and that takes them a little time.

Ill start investigating that more. I know at the start it wasn't legal. That is before we went though all the FDA stuff and that may make it easier.

Bringing products to market
Sounding like "the Coronas" has slowed their process and we might not make May 1st (with all three in two sizes). Sucks.

Bringing products to market
It isn't easy, but getting something in stores is one of the coolest things you can ever do. 7,200 bottles

UPMC says feared coronavirus surge ‘simply hasn’t happened,’ will resume elective surgeries
Meh....good luck getting that to stick. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be at a hospital unless it was life or death. I do still go to the DR 3 times a week for my glorified tanning...that building has been empty for weeks.

UPMC says feared coronavirus surge ‘simply hasn’t happened,’ will resume elective surgeries
Of 5,500 beds in the UPMC hospital system, only 2% are occupied by COVID-19 patients, as are 8% percent of intensive care beds, according to Yealy, who also said UPMC has strong supplies of protective equipment such as masks, shields and gowns. The 118 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 at UPMC hospitals are “not a significant increase from last week,” he said. Yealy further said the rate of positive coronavirus tests done through UPMC hospitals has dropped to 6.6 percent, down from 12 percent earlier in the pandemic, another sign the coronavirus threat is declining in areas served by UPMC. Moreover, UPMC has been hearing from patients who delayed surgeries related to things such as heart conditions or cancer, and is “not comfortable with the disruption in care this has caused for people who don’t have COVID-19,” he said. He said the surgeries that will be resumed might be called non-urgent because they are done on a scheduled rather than emergency basis, but are “essential” to people waiting for them. Yet Gov Wolf still has the entire fucking state locked down.......Gotta love living in PA. https://www.pennlive.com/news/2020/04/upmc-says-coronavirus-surge-simply-hasnt-happened-will-resume-elective-surgeries.html

Sweden’s top epidemiologist: our approach seems to be working
I hope so too for your sake. My BIL just had a baby last week and said it was a ghost town. He wasn't allowed to leave at first, and then they relaxed that 1 day in....crazy. I think you'll be good.

I have a few family members that are nurses. Local hospitals aren't even remotely full, probably not even at 50%. Like you said very quiet.

Will your favorite restaurant or watering hole survive?
Oh yeah for sure. They rubs are made to stand on their own but they really shine with our sauces. That's the line we are taking on marketing these, I'm thinking the sauces will have enough weight to get people to try the seasonings. As of this morning we have about 1/3 or our first order pre-sold, and are closing in on 15,000 bottles of bbq since late last June. I wish you could see the support we are generating here locally....its crazy. We will survive this and should come out on the other side swinging. I'm honestly looking forward to it.

Will your favorite restaurant or watering hole survive?
They are strong, but the issue with them is they aren't pedigreed like the sauces were. I could walk in anywhere and say that Comp won the 2018 Jack.....can never take that away. The rubs are different in that everyone can blend a few spices, salt, and sugar together and whammo....."taste this incredible, one of a kind rub!!!" I'm skeptical just because I thought there was no way the BBQ would take off.. and luckily I was wrong. We will see, they are a great product, but they have some stiff competition.
-
Will your favorite restaurant or watering hole survive?
For sure. I have a local store that is closing in on 1,000 bottles for just this year, another sold out of bbq in 2 days (farm mkt).....so the stores that are open are killing it so far. Gambling on the spices was a very risky thing to do at the time, so lets hope that pays off, because that was about a $23,000 risk I didn't have to take.

Will your favorite restaurant or watering hole survive?
This shutdown will cost me 50k at least....and we are small fish really. Ill survive, but I'll bet that 50-60% die off. In some ways it will be a cleansing like what we saw in 2008-2009 and the strong "may" survive. Its going to be a different world and luckily for us we started the BBQ and rub end of things as that is carrying us.

I will! I am trying to get empty packaging and put my blends in them for pics. Trying to get a head start on the promo part. I'm going to snap a few pics for the shelf talkers and sales sheet.
