    C&A Pros

C&A's are on! You were right, getting them lined up to get the ski bolt thru was a bear. Even using a 6x6x18" block, but we got 'er done! Thank God for the Lift a Sled! May not ride until Friday at the earliest or most likely next week. I'll have my shock spring wrenches with me. Thanks for your help.
  2. The thing... like Brandon says...Noem ain't black. However, I'D vote for her!

My bud called today to say the C&A's are here! I ordered them Friday and got the shipping notice yesterday from Amazon!

    bridge fire

Temporary bridge in place for 21-22 sled and vehicle traffic.
  5. Fortunately, Vt. isn't over-run with LE manpower. That, and they seem to be mostly active on weekends, which I do my best not to ride!
  6. Federal Forest land in Vermont is posted 35. And the SP and Wardens do run radar.
  7. Trump should run for representative to congress from Fla. which he would surely win. Then he can get voted Speaker of the House. Then he can call for impeachment of Biden and Harris. After that's done, he CAN run for President again in '24, but he will have already served his country well and should let someone else run for POTUS. Someone who's not likely to have every left-wing, derelict, drug addicted low life make his mark on the paper simply because they offer money, and help the socialists cheat again.
  8. Same deal on the west side of the river. Good. Fines need to be expensive.
  9. That's the one my bud has on his "22 XCR. It was purrfect when I rode it! I laugh when the speedometer cover guys are complaining about cold and frostbite around their goggles!

OK, I thought maybe that's how you were using them. Thanks for the clarification.

    C&A Pros

Thats kinda what I'm looking for. Reduced soft snow push. I can figure out the darting if it's excessive. My Pro-Steers with 6" deuce bars are perfect on hard trails. Thanks.

Which is why I didn't get grippers.

Interesting. Can you explain the 2x6 trick? I was planning to have it on a lift for the ski changeover. I'm old ya know, and the parts don't collapse as easily as they once did.

    800 can

As someone said previously, "it ain't the same as it was in the 90's"... or before. The plandemic has induced more people to sell their home in the city and move to the country as they've found they can "work from home". These people looked at, and bought their home most likely NOT in the winter when sleds were crossing their prospective land. The noise they hear in the winter is more of an issue than the fact that people are riding sleds on a trail that happens to be on their land which they gave nary a thought to when they purchased. We need to do everything possible to keep noise down and these people happy! If that means no cans will help, so be it! Who needs an extra 2-5 hp to ride trails anyway? My 800, (which I found a new OEM muffler for this season because my current OEM was oil soaked and to loud even for me), is way more HP than I need for trail riding! I know it's not about "want vs, need", but when "want" is causing issues, we don't "need" it!
  17. Quebec has banned riding after 10PM or midnight, I forget which, and don't know if it's plandemic related or not.
  18. You'll never get me to agree that loud cans don't matter, but I agree about the newly transplanted of 2nd home owners being most of the problem. However, as long as they can sell their home on a postage stamp and relocate to the quiet of the country and own multiple acres, we're going to need to deal with it. And noise is sometimes their biggest complaint, especially during nightime. So why do anything to increase it?
  19. Nothing, I was trying to make a "joke" that my DIESEL fuel tank is not explosive like a GAS tank!

    C&A Pros

I'm hip to the front track shock and setup. Currently I've got a HyGear dual-rate spring on my FTS and it's smooth and the sled balance is excellent for me running minimum preload. ProSteers with the duce bars are shimmed and toed out 1/8". The plan...... is to install the C&A's according to C&A instructions and ride it. I HAVE seen some conflicting reports on the web about which direction the C&A rubber goes in, and whether or not they should be shimmed from the start.

Where did you here that about not doing well on Poo's. Now you've got me worried.
  22. I guess more notice needs to be done on some platform other than Facebook. I mean the notices and posts/threads are all over the sledding pages on FB. I've heard that lotsa kids say FB is so "yesterday" but I don't have the slightest clue what platform they're using. It probably won't make a difference because some of these people just see DON'T, as a dare to do it anyway. They should lose the sleds!

    C&A Pros

I don't have dooleys. I have duce bars. I tried dooleys and you're correct. they were terrible pushers. There's a BIG difference between dooleys and duce bars. And my issue isn't in a situation where the carbide is going to make a big difference, its SOFT snow where I have the problem.
