  1. I ran these on one of our old Polaris's that didn’t have any place on the rear skid to mount scratchers. They worked well.
  2. Mine has plenty of clearance, fortunately.
  3. I need something other than the flat bladed screwdriver with a notch ground into it. This looks like the ticket.
  4. This is my expectation. I haven't chimed in, because I haven't tried it myself yet. However, I'm pretty sure a guy could pull the panel away from the clutch far enough to fit the belt through. I noticed they have a little button-looking thing attached to the bellypan by the primary clutch and remember hearing that they needed to do something to prevent the clutch from grinding its way through a panel if the sled was rolled over with the engine running. I'll bet that's what the button thing is for.
  5. That happened when I got my 21 Riot, as well. For whatever reason, the accessories aren't part of the build sheet. I suspect Rollick just tells Cat how many of each model sled to build, and then the accessories get put on the dealer's list of things they have to get - thus, two completely different order processes. Snowmobile production and accessory production are two different things. I'm not sure if that's the entire story, but it makes sense to me.
  6. I watch about 99% of his content +/- 3%, always entertaining. Once in a while I learn something, sometimes I'm motivated to try one of his ideas, but I'm always entertained.
  7. They expressly forbid me from taking pictures, glad you got a few for souvenirs. Did they say anything about the Riots that haven't been built yet? It seems there are still quite a few people waiting for theirs, and I think Cat was expecting a shipment of tracks to finish them up. I didn't ask and haven't heard much about that. To your point about the Catalyst being easier to build, now that you mention it, that makes sense. The assembly line is actually shorter than I expected it to be. Even the decals seem easier. Maybe this will make them easier to work on!
  8. This fits my memories to a "T"! Except, my second helmet was a full-face that I always had to ride with the shield cracked open. First helmet was open face with a bigass Castre shield.
  9. I'll be holding my PII stock for a while. Can I interest you in a pontoon?
  10. Nope, it's worse than that - they borrow. And, it ain't at 2% APR, neither. I used to be in the business, and we routinely charged 19.8% APR on floor planning (inventory financing) from day 1.
  11. I agree, but the market doesn't seem to be listening to either of us. I submit the following exhibits to the court....
  12. I had a ring gear come off my 1990 Indy Trail, back in the day (maybe 92-93, not sure). That was a bummer.
  13. That's been a growing problem up here, in N. Central MN - increased ATV access is great, but now we're starting to see the same problem as snowmobiles - a few rotten apples making the rest of us look bad. If we're proactive on the ATV side, maybe we can save what we have and continue to expand. But, if snowmobiles are a guide, this won't last and ATV access will soon be curtailed. I don't know how to get through to the people causing problems, but we need to find a way - for the survival of both sports, snowmobile and ATV.
  14. It's fine. Just degrease it before you put on the JB Weld. Every time I think of older sleds, I remember how easy they were to work on. Fortunately, I forget all the bad stuff. That is how it should be. Seems appropriate, since I'm feeling nostalgic.... "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been, and there you will always long to return" - John Hermes Secondari
  15. No! This is like Chicago politics - vote early and vote often. Never too early to start racking up awards, as long as the Catalyst keeps getting them.
  16. Every RXC 137 manual start made on Monday, November 27, 2023 passed inspection by me. Well... I might've missed a few. Well... I'm not sure exactly how many I inspected. Well... I didn't actually inspect them. Well... They wouldn't let me get close enough to inspect them. Well... I couldn't actually see what they were doing. BUT I WAS THERE!
  17. At my previous employer, I went to work every day wondering if my security badge would let me in the door. I fought blizzards, storms and deer to find out if I still had a job. Every day. I'm so glad I don't work there any more, because now I don't even have to leave the house to find out if I've been rif'd or not.
  18. The mold has been approved, from what I was told. I’m hoping to see them online for sale shortly.
  19. I don’t see it, either. Of course, we’d still be living in caves if it weren’t for people doing things that other people thought was impossible. But, the existing snowmobile model just doesn’t fit with electric sleds. Fleet rentals and ski hills, sure. Mainstream snowmobiling, not so much. Same thing with cars. My wife’s biggest concern is how charging stations are basically a target rich environment for car jackets and attackers.
  20. Not having general anesthesia since fentanyl was invented is something to brag about. Those of us who have had a colonoscopy have probably gotten a cocktail that includes fentanyl. Mine was done at the Mayo Clinic, and that’s what they use.
