  1. Vanity Fair. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ A quote from the article, I'm sure you know I'm not a fan of Trump personally, but I was a fan of the direction he was taking the country before Covid. As Forbes notes, β€œAlthough officials have to list personal loans on their financial disclosures, the law does not require them to include loans to their companies, unless they are personally liable for the loans.”
  2. Now include how much his business's paid in taxes. And if you include property taxes, I bet it will be more than the total paid by every member on this site in their lifetimes.

  12. There are downsides to every decision, As laws are made to please everyone, more problems are caused. With my job, in the past, I've missed many elections since I'm always on call and when I leave it can be for for several months. Sometimes you just have to pull up your big boy pants and ask is your job worth it. I decided mine was.
  13. Ya, I was looking for a quote from earlier, too much reading before I had to go to work. but still both sides say they don't have the staff to do what's required by law, they just state it from different angles.
  14. It seems a lot simpler than the requesting, issuing, and verifying of absentee ballots.
  15. This has gotten sidetracked from accusing Trump of demanding they find votes for him, instead of what he actually said that they look into possible fraud. You copied and pasted what the law requires them to do, but both sides say they don't have the personnel or training to do it. Here's a statement from Stacy Abram's lawsuit. so both sides are saying there is a problem. The plaintiffs also say election officials aren’t sufficiently trained on canceling an absentee ballot if someone chooses to vote in person instead, which can cause voters to be turned away or forced to cast a provisional ballot. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/election-lawsuit-backed-by-stacey-abrams-goes-to-trial-in-georgia

  17. In reality it wouldn't be that hard, they could have voting places on base check their ID with which state they're voting and count accordingly. No different than voting places turning in their counts.
  18. The big push is more recent, Portland controls the states policies and most people are tired of it, Portlandia, let the have their own country..
  19. Way easier said than done, cost of staffing and training makes this prohibitive. The simple alternative is in person voting with an ID.
  20. lol, now you're opening up another can of. worms, the eastern 90% of Oregon wants to join Idaho.
  21. As someone that voted by mail in, how do you propose enforcing proper ID, the checks in place in Minnesota are a joke.
  22. Which the state stated they don't have the staff or the training to properly inspect the ballots. There were multiple recounts.
  23. In person voting with an ID.
  24. Yes that he was arrested and detained before he was allowed to testify, how does that not appear to be a little too convenient, especially after people like Maxine were against requiring him to testify?
