  1. that is a fantastic outcome. my dad and grandfather died from prostate cancer. dr told my brothers and i it's a matter of when. i get the psa yearly, just had it saturday, 1.5. under 4 is the target. i will admit that getting that test scares the shit out of me. glad you got it beat george . i ended up in urologist care from kidney stones. a good one can explain a lot of what's going on, and help with future issues.
  2. better get batteries , milk , bread and a flashlight
  3. thank you . she battled lung cancer, a brain tumor and eventually bone cancer. spent the last 6 months in a nursing home. going there will tear a piece out of your soul
  4. really shook the shit out of us. i'm too old to use the emo shit for excuses. i could use a 3 day weekend though. last weekend sucked, lost my mom easter sunday. just getting ready to go see her and i got the call. sadly 8 months to the day from my losing my brother. my small family got cut in half
  5. i'm about a 100 miles north of nyc. my counter was moving like 2 inches. felt like someone hit the building. my coworkers laughed at me of course but now it's in the news. 4.8 in nyc/nj
  6. we had a disturbed younger guy just walking. troopers pull up, he keeps walking. they drive past , he keeps walking. finally they park and rh officer gets out and starts to harass him. the guy was out there and they knew this. the guy freaks out, runs to the cop car and tries to open the rh door. cop shot him like 8 times. no charges.
  7. man i like em tall but that may take some effort
  8. a 250r atc was on ebay in the crate, went for ridiculous money
  9. not a ford guy but that is wicked
  10. i was just gonna ask if anyone has seen the prices. i had a guy come in with a pilot on a trailer. showroom condition, looked never ridden. he paid 8k
  11. funny , my buddy asked if i had ever had "my heart in my throat" . i told him a few times , why. he said i never knew what that meant . i was racing a guy with my 930 , i grabbed 3rd hard , somewhere near 100 , and the car went sideways. now i know what that means.
  12. i get the guys saying "jap junk". i just laugh. i see a few xr/xl 600s. i get all of those as they are from my time. last one had messed up throttle cable. wouldn't "snap back" like it should. he had a parts bike and brought the one cable and i fixed it. don't know how many have messed with those siamese carbs...
  13. honda probably holds a lot of those titles.
  14. i personally think honda hurt themselves with the auto trans on many of the models. scared people off. we see more old honda at our shop than new stuff. new dirt bikes yes. don't see their side by sides at all. for those it's polaris and can am galore
  15. someone blocked the shit out of that car. what a finish
  16. he built them for himself and then sold them. the driveline handled the power if you were smart. one kid ripping donuts tore the cvs out of one. his own fault. the one was jazz blue with the blue in the seats. man that thing was insane. hard to think a 2.7 v6 can be that wicked
  17. cops finally got him. cops were actually laughing. got calls of "some kind of blue car" going super fast. when they caught him they saw the car and went aaaahhhh. no wonder. the rear bbs wheels were i think the widest i have seen. you stand next to the car and the roof is at your stomach
  18. you know your cars my man. that 5 speed was super rare. he paid 90k for it. most don't know who eddie bello is. he had the top speed record for years with a 1200hp 911. like 226mph. he also has the 911 that wheelies. we took it to the track, not really a 1/4 mile car. he did get one good run but tore the center out of the clutch disc. it was a custom disc, like 1500.00 . we were in staging, some people come over. wow that is a sick car. who built it. my buddy said eddie bello. folks were freaking out. i guess they knew who he was
  19. my buddy has an 89 930 slant nose 5 speed built by eddie belo. 700hp , ridiculous. i told him last time i'm not riding in that any more. 162mph was enough. the car supposedly does 202. screw that , i was shitting at 162 on a 2 lane highway. my buddy is nuts. he builds audi s4s with 700hp and he'll scare you with those too. but the slant nose is violent to ride in . 22 lbs of boost. they pour bags of ice on the whale tail to cool the intercooler for racing.
  20. you used to get a check, hence snowcheck. plus a jacket , etc. i snowchecked once for "exclusive " options. yeah right, they were all over in the fall , better warranty and better prices
  21. when we were young there was a mountain we partied on. the trail up was rugged and there was a house at the bottom. we were going by, i was in the bed of a truck . i looked over, said "holy shit , it's a pantera! " the others were like what is a pantera? are you kidding? there it was, pantera on blocks. i guess folks tried to buy it but were told no. my buddy took me to a family bbq once. took me behind the house, 63 split window corvette rotting in to the ground. i asked why his uncle didn't sell it. he wanted no one else to have it. they eventually drug it out of the dirt, junk
  22. oh i remember. my buddy called it "extended pedal travel" when the pedal hinged to the floor. felt like it went forever and it was all power. the big boats with big engines burned lots of rubber. ate lots of gas
  23. imagine the guys at gm when they dynoed this crap. " well boys , we did it, 148hp . let's call it a night" How much horsepower does a 307 Oldsmobile motor have? The 307 "Y" produced 148 hp (110 kW) and 250 lb⋅ft (340 N⋅m) in 1980-1984 models and 140 hp (100 kW) and 250 lb⋅ft (340 N⋅m) in 1985-1990s. All LV2s feature a 4-barrel carburetor. Y-version applications: 1980–1985 Buick Lesabre.
