  1. womens final, fucking fantastic race between Megan & Melene~!!!!!
  2. watch how Ishoels skis follow his line of sight...
  3. Turning right tonight -love it! Going with Francis P. FTW tonight in the final - he likes triples and his mechanic is a riot. PBR in hand - last weekend of the season. Soak it all in.
  4. it's an actual kneeslapper... I lmfao every time I watch it. the second crash literally brings tears to my eyes.
  5. I'm just glad they still have the one of Zamb up from his Ski-Doo days...
  6. I for one applaud your lackadaisical effort. 👏 Has been a fun winter here for SX discussion, even though Cat is sucking bigly this winter. edit: also in the HCS GDF @fortune46x usually did one thread for the entire season and us monkeys piled on, but these venue to venue threads have been good.
  7. and like clockwork, Polaris immediately counters with their latest offering, and one up's them. shortly after Ski-Doo sues for patent infringement.
  8. there's so many fix kits for the early procross sleds, you'd swear pOLAriS made them https://www.countrycat.com/arctic-cat/arctic-cat-0637-392-flat-tunnel-update-kit-black-2012-xf
  9. paging @Tommcat unless he was sent to a Massholechusetts state penitentiary for violating local dyno noise laws... I know someone on HCS (forgetting who at the moment) makes a different axle and bracing/fix-kit for the front when this happens, trying to recall who it was though. he has a shitload of early Procross products... and, are his limiter straps 'loosened' by chance.... ?????????? edit: thought it was Belanger who has a ton of fix kits but it wasn't him http://www.belangerracingproducts.com/products.php
  10. so are you starting a new thread for this weekend or just keeping this one alive since it's the same venue and potentially a different layout? inquiring minds and all...
  11. yeah, worded that poorly. overall width is wider on the XR-T and they use the same spindles so probably wider a-arms - and a sway bar. https://arcticcat.txtsv.com/snowmobile/blast-xr-touring#specs then click dimensions Overall Chassis Width 44-45 in. 46-47 in. Ski Stance 37.5-38.5 in. Adjustable 39.5-40.5 in. Adjustable
  12. actually, I might be changing my mind on the Garmin thing if it doubles as a CB radio
  13. precisely where is this YOUESSAY place? I find the whole fancy gauge/ipad thing hilarious - but, apparently it helps sell sleds and I'm 101% certain it is a MAJOR revenue source and profit maker for Polaris. haven't really heard much about the Doo-che Pad this winter?
  14. can't be, they have seven dealers left after Polaris and BRP launched their 2022's. with 900 miles it was probably ran wfo on a track stand to set a top speed record for the 400 single cylinder snowmobile class. in other news that's probably only interesting to me, the Blast XR Touring has a wider ski stance 46/47 rather than 44/45 - so there's that for those looking to widen the stance. no fiche pics or part numbers yet to see which parts are the same or different... but it's probably just a-arms.
  15. L Y N X is another Cat have been lurking/watching the entertaining threads in the Procross forum on that other site, entertaining. JR apparently gave up on a 6000 Limited because he didn't whine enough to get them to add ATAC. he's making the quantum leap up to 'manual' QS3R's (which aren't 'true' fox shocks - lmao) dumbed down on the Racer Replica like the way the XRS and XCR's are also dumbed down. shut your piehole I give him credit for his brand blindness, to wit. when I was a kid my sled didn't have a speedo, tach or temp gauge - we just paid attention to the trail and the impending sound of piston replacement. you could sell those on FB marketplace for $208 each. no, I'm not joking. have you ever tried to reason with a three year old? pit coat - check crocs - check shocks for a sled I don't own - check Zima - check that was weak... I mean really?
  16. and 400L lbs of wood chips? the staging area alone was mushy last weekend, can't imagine it being one bit better this weekend. I want to see the 'pond' bigger this weekend... for "knucklehead" to play in again. that was a hilarious conversation, and we're all going to the god damned Soo next year - he's driving! you guys still planning on going to the Hall of Fame?
  17. http://www.arcticinsider.com/Article/Inside-Look-New-Arctic-Cat-Garmin-Tread-GPS
  18. Black Magic - best marketing name ever, hands down for Cat products 4500 dollars? american dollars? I think the old triples are cool, but I have no interest at all in owning one. I do know this, if any manufacturer including Cat came out with a new triple 2S in a modern chassis they would sell a shitload of them to a lot of guys over the age of 50 hmmm, ZRT 2.0 or F7 2.0 - tough call there
  19. I nominated the Jag Z on your behalf. they rejected the nomination citing and I quote- LOLWHUT ? sorry I wonder if they'll even have a Cat in the mix (advertising-$) or if they'll just choose between a blue arctic cat, a Poo and a Doo?
  20. next time, I'll backpack in something a bit more premium, local and a bigger quantity. Polaris's sleds and f.i. sure seem to be working a lot better than Cat's has from what I've seen but going back it's my opinion Doo & Poo have by far the most talented pool of racers right now which is why they are both pistol whipping the green goblins. I don't remember Kenny's crash for some reason. was it when we were fixing the foam peak marker and you were trying to avoid being ran over? being at the track and moving around most of the time I was there I saw riders eating shit all over the place, even in places I can't figure out how they f'ed up so bad. right when I got there a sport rider was coming in hot into the outside of turn 1 - alone, his track packed, he hit another whoop and it cartwheeled him off over the berm. this said, I give those kids a lot of credit because I no longer have the stones to even attempt that type of course let alone try to make time doing it. for those following along, if you can and there's an ISOC race in your area, make a point of going at least for one day to get a scope of the talent these folks have.
  21. there is something special about them, in the meanwhile I'll stick to my triple 2S outboard and call it quits there. back in the day though... when Cat was cool.
  22. the type of track they were on at E.R. was suited to their riding styles in Europe, and Norum has been getting better and better each year, the kid has tons of talent. if you watch enough of this you'd realize the European riders are eclipsing the north american racers for the past few years, I can see it in the way they attack the track and time their big jumps compared to keeping the their tracks on the ground to accelerate while others are focusing on more air more often which doesn't make you faster. Bender and Hentjes had their Polaris dialed in all weekend and have for most of the season. the lack of grooming a talent pool for the future and not equaling or bettering the competitions sleds from the green team after TH#68 retired is apparent and there are a f'load of talented racers on the yellow and red teams. before, during and after the Pro-Final I was chatting with Cody from the Makita team, super nice guy that was confident in their machine, but far more confident about his racer and what his goal was who took 3rd coming from mid-pack after the start. if you haven't been to a Pro-SX race in a while, I highly suggest turning off the brand blinders, going and getting in touch with our resident tour guide before you do. these kids are tough, going big and getting after it.
