  1. amazing how well the Renny 900T did in the shootout with '150hp' - funny how they're being de-tuned for 2022 and the Mach is 'turned up' to less than what a simple flash was doing on the early ones. anyone making oversized injectors for them yet Tom? with more air... you know. idk, I don't ride in the mountains. utterly amazing how many f'ng flatland long track Mountain Doo riders there are here in Wisconsin and Michigan though. he doesn't talk about it much here but @mnstang has what I perceive to be an ideal flatland boondocking sled, a 2019 High Country which is twin rail and short, which to me being uneducated about off trail riding seems fun, and ideal. there's are or were similar sleds from Poo & Doo that I don't pay attention to that also seem like they would be fun in the ideal setting. but, going back to lowered factory trail sleds - Doo did it, and it will sell. Cat/Yammie added power steering, and @Tommcat had the best comment on that.
  2. Jim Ramstad... and I'll just leave it at that. but now we all get sleds that start at $14K msrp with a few decent options, and $1804 in accessories. curious where they price their stuff... remember the Generic Branded shit of the 70's & 80's? feels that way now - one will say Trail, another Crossover and the one in the tall can says Mountain. makes me sad. nope, they will milk every last cent out of it possible first
  3. lol, like a hurricane map I beg to differ, I opened a f'load of gaskets, seals, bearings and odd's-n-end's with Suzuki labels during the rebuild. not even while singing on top a piano, in a smoky hotel lounge? disappointing... I read on Arctic Insider in the comments the head of AC marketing lives in Georgia 12 months of the year... and is likely not a snowmobilist. I felt bad for Halvorson and Dick watching as much of the presentation as I could tolerate before shutting it off. Hope Roger Skime got a big fat paycheck for his appearance. MNStang is right though, Textron bailed out a company headed to Chapter 11 - but, what have they done with it that makes the Cat fanatical run to their closest dealer (that hasn't dropped Cat or been cut off) - sure there was some new tech like the Alpha and Ctech 800 but that was developed long before they took the reigns. Textron is a corporation with a lot of bean counters, and from personal experience 'big things' rarely come out of corporations with more bean counters and marketing people than passionate fanatics who don't care or understand how the bottom line works. as mentioned above, I just stopped watching it as frankly it was agonizing. looking forward to the 70th and the same shit...
  4. but there is the Lynx Rave with a similar setup. right now, it's killing me not to be on HCS with all this spare wound salt in my inventory.
  5. for a top level sled. I remember our first new snowmobile, Dad picked up a leftover 1980 SkiDoo Citation SS for $900 to the penny... out the door and they even gave me a XS jacket. times are a changin'...
  6. he's not alone, the band of Madcatter's is looking for new roadies and groupies... it's sad when the diehards start telling Textron to for what I stuck in the 720 this year including the purchase price I'm slightly less than a new 65hp B-Last which is sort've on par with a new 600/650 RXC/XCR/XRS performance wise. and... Suzuki. sure, but all 94% of the rest of the world sees now (not including Ramstad) is a 2012 with an EPA engine that hasn't proven itself. Textron Cat is not the Arctic Cat we love... hope they prove me COMPLETELY wrong because BRP & Polaris brought their fucking A-game for 2022... again.
  7. right there with you... this could be entertaining. free from the penalty box and roaming the ice again I see.. I'm making dry rubbed ribs and asparagus for dinner, you got a fuckin' problem with that? come at me bro!!!
  8. run what ya brung, avatar wager! clearly Polaris & BRP are listening... and Textron is going to open up the coffin in a few days. I know. Funny how the Cross Country isn't on their build site though. Tipped rail 136 is the Iron Dog Kit skid, big shocks and an actual windshield. Lot's to like there on the Cross Country. What's the Renegade XRS Competition Package all about for 22? XC and Iron Donkey? https://www.ski-doo.com/us/en/shopping-tools/customize-your-own/crossover/renegade.html IDthink so... probably the same old 600 in the Matryx with premium suspension. seeing a lot of FOX shocks from Poo - maybe the love affair with WE is over due to the shock shortage this year.
  9. I'll race you for 66 feet on a 500 bring beer, and your pride with you.
  10. and now he can clutch Turbo's for 66 foot radar runs...
  11. you could come up with a PS Delete Kit, claim it reduces weight and makes them faster there's a great marketing guy in New Hampshire you should talk to. hold tight, I'll get his number for you... hey @Jerry 976 how do we get our creative shit back from HCS or get it deleted?
  12. fear not - it was all done 'in house' but Cat got power steering Tommy - like a 2008 Yamaha
  13. lmfao Doug!!! F7 2.0 brah... nailed it OTB Polaris and BRP are listening to their customers and continue to innovate year after year... but wait until March 3rd - when Ramstad loses his mind.
  14. ballsy marketing having a Polaris that close to an open flame...
  15. well, let's see how this shot over Cat's bow goes... but anyone can buy an RXC from Cat - even @fortune46x so why 'racers only'? and where's SkiDoo's cross country sled? 600 Alex, so that answers that question. the other inevitable ? is will they have the balls to make a SX sled out of them?
  16. starting out with an apology to their customers, try topping that Textron
  17. vertical scope owes me at least $58.22
  18. welp they 'successfully' did FI in the 600 race sled - but is ISR going to change all the specs for CC, MIRA, SX & XC to accommodate the 650 for one manufacturer? I for one, hope not. they made their bed in this new class and could have made it a 600 - and didn't, so fuck 'em.
  19. sorry, I've been holding back on threads like this because there's FAR less Poo'tards to irritate on this site and if/when I switch brands (seems likely) I don't want to be 'that hypocrite' but, a 'consumer' 650/850 XCR is inevitable - IDK about the Cross Country guys though, so they'll probably keep the Axys XCR 600, Mountain Turbo has been in the works for a while so you can tick that box, and I'll go way the hell out on a limb and try not to laugh when I say they are bringing back the 440 in a few models to drive a stake right in the heart of the B-Last & Venom. I also predict shitty QC, relays, wiring and 18% of the Pooluminati proclaiming whatever they do is the 2nd coming of Christ. an VR1 XCR 650 128 or 136 with Kashima QS3's (after being converted to DSC's) like the Cat RXC uses might be an interesting ride. I can with confidence say BNG's and Slime Green for the bitchy Wendy Whiners will make a reappearance. lastly, a relocation or alteration to the race sleds fuel filler cap...
  20. holy shit Rod Johnson is on here too? so yeah, Mach name on something that isn't the biggest.baddest.mo-fo out there - totally whoring the name. would be the same as Cat bringing out a 208hp Wildcat, or Polaris releasing a 847cc Storm lame...
  21. if the retards posters here can help bring in advertisers can those same retards posters who bought a membership become shareholders and get quarterly dividends? just curious...
  22. ok, so here's some irony - people are flocking to BRP dealers to see and place orders for the lowered/short lug Mach Z and the stiff high riding mogul crushing Lynx Rave' another irony, both are 'trail' sleds nice to see one manufacturer focusing a few models on trail riders instead of the crossover/mountain segment
