Yes. The government required some of the old model packages to be in Pro-E. Before I retired we used primarily Catia including tooling where I was involved. One of the trucks we made was in native Pro-E so needed to learn Pro-E. Not a fan of it.

I have access to 3D modeling (Catia V5 and Pro-E) for projects but looking for software at home. Anybody using 3D software home?

Yes to a point we didn't hear of any real internal changes to us that he was trying to implement. Feeling the same. Our local club bought a quadtrac to groom with this year as we are primarily in an agricultural area and select rent them out in off season for income. Here we were using it to help tile a field and I was getting some time driving it.
