Was very profitable when Cat tried to copy the fox shocks and cheapened them up. Use a QPQ coating on the rods instead of chroming them. Great move and profitable for me.

Z you ever have a shock apart excluding when you have crashed a sled.

Put 180+ miles on in one day on a 1985 Indy you'll be questioning yourself " What the hell's wrong with you" Been there and that actually the last time I rode that sled.

If I get the ambition and time going the other direction. Have a NOS XCR800 motor to go into a wedge chassis. Have most of the parts and a set of Rugland pipes. Maybe some day.

Always liked those sleds and color combination. A 1997 XCR 440 is on the bucket list for me. Maybe some day.

Bought a 1994 XCR 600 about 10 years ago with only 300+ miles on that was covered in the back of a warehouse. I know the guy well and he bought new sleds every year when he still rode. He only rode the sled one weekend and hated the low seat so he bought a XLT sp. Ran into him one day and asked what ever happened to that sled knowing they were limited build. Told me he still had it if I wanted to buy. Sled is in showroom condition still a little over 300 miles on it.

It's also nice being able to read everything at trail speed. My eyes haven't excally kept up.

Last one I worked on was a while ago. Was a 2006 900 that had a low speed injector go out that you basically had to pull the motor out to change. This one also was good on the inside. We put pistons in as long as we were that far into it.

I went with the 7S on my XCR as I had on my VR1. I normally lead and last year we rode in areas Sth that we normally didn't ride so it was really nice. Also that you could change the display the way you wanted was nice. I use the phone function a fair amount as I don't work Friday's in the winter and guys would call to meet up and ask for trail conditions. The fuel gauge seems a little inconsistent but I alway reset one of the trip meters and go by mileage so not a big deal

Right or wrong, real or fake my dealer would normally wait until Snowcheck was almost up before he would submit his orders and I would get my confirmation email shortly after. The used market is crazy even at the end of the year. I was going to list my wife's sled and my dealer told me not to cause he would have it sold if I traded it. We had one last ride planned so I had a demo to use and had to take her sled down to my dealer.

Call me old school but I'll pivot the oil tank out of the way and remove the side airbox inlet. That exposes the throttle bodies where I have a hose with 2 lines teed off and lay each line down in the throttle bodies and spray while the engine is warm. Word of caution as we've heard this before. If you fog down into the spark plug hole put tape around the little plastic tube or better yet use a small hose dropped into the plug hole and insert the little plastic tube into the hose. Every year we've heard where the small plastic tube came out of the fogging can and dropped down into the cylinder or case.
