  1. Ill make it out west at some point, anyone I know that has done mountain riding loved it. We've done pretty much all of Quebec from Val d'or and Chibougamau to the Gaspe, last big trip in Quebec will be east of Sept Ilse out the white road to Labrador. We were planning to truck our sleds in a U-haul to Minnesota this year and ride back via the UP, Ontario, and Quebec to the house in Maine but COVID put a hold on that til next season...
  2. Well obviously he doesn't know anything about working on sleds from what I gathered with BAC.7Ben's story, but that is 85 percent of the people I run into. I groom 100 hours a year and still manage to do 2500-3500 miles of riding. I ride a lot with people who race in Cross Country circuits, I'm not the fastest guy out there but I can hold my own with those guys.
  3. You're the dubbah that's trying to tell the dude to stay out of snowmobile threads when he rides way more than you, I'm just calling out your dubbah-ness, not giving a reach around. I'm sure you're a regular ol Tucker Hibbett and no one here could hold a candle to your greatness Zam-flatbrimmedhat-broski. Are you even going to have a sled this year?
  4. I mean he has ridden to Moosonee on James Bay in Ontario, that's a lot more impressive than pretending to be a washed up snow cross racer pounding the same loop in Minnesota.
  5. I mean he actually goes on big trips farther than 40 miles from his house unlike you ya dubbah.
  6. Better than riding 5 miles in 6.5 hours cutting blowdowns from the 13 inches of paste we got Sunday.... Getting a big crew together this weekend to try to bang out 10 miles at least, then probably again next weekend...
  7. Dude doesn't even ride snowmobiles anymore so he's all set.
  8. A gift for @Momoriderso he doesn't keep getting kicked off the bus.
  9. My bud has one he takes bird hunting up north, neat gun bud I'd rather have one in 28 or 20 gauge
  10. I bought my first new sled outright in November after starting work that May at 22 fresh out of college living in a kind of crappy apartment and driving a $2500 jeep grand cherokee. Now I have a nice house with land, over 6 figures in the 401k, and feeling really good about my place in life. I would be further ahead financially than I am now if I didn't snowmobile, but I had a blast and made awesome memories in my 20s with my old man and friends riding all over Quebec and Maine that I wouldn't replace for anything. Ill be ready for a little slowdown in the next couple of years having kids and trying to save for a camp up north, but for now I'm still going to be buying a new sled on a 3 year cycle like an idiot.
  11. Much rather it hold off unlike last year when we had over 2 feet December 10th and it all rained away and didn't come back til after New Years. It'll come, I'm thinking my first grooming run will hopefully be around Christmas.
