Yes my dads side was SUper meticulous about things like decorations. cra cra.. everything from about the 40s on up was in their original packaging for the most part till the 70s. some of the figurines were stil cloth covered wires lol a lot of bulbs were only half colored since the paint had come off the inside of them. the quality of the old stuff will never be matched today huh..

AHHH yes like the old days. i grew up with the old school larger bulbs from my grandfathers house. lots of it but--- old! none of the little bulbs til i was a teen and still non of these leds. those old strings were a bear to keep neat and working right but that was half the "fun" (as dad taught us) of christmas for me as a kid, i loved messing with all that stuff. nowa days tho ,,,, i havent set up a tree in quite a few years.

i have had it on a lift as recently as last month and its fine, Its got plenty of surface rust ,, turning to rot but so far its fine. the cross tubes under the bed are still there to gauge that.

The frames fine. the rear wheel arches are typical as you can see. i added fender flares last year to cover the rust and thay are doing jus fine lol its a sound truck for the dough.

howsabout lunch? i bought a pound of good rare roast beef an yesterday while putting a sandwich together i realized im really bored with the same ol same ol so i broke out the frying pan, dropped a couple slices in a hot pan. a quick sear on one side, flipped them over added a slice of provolone cheese on top n folded them over, repeated that one more time while i toasted up an onion roll in the toaster oven, added some horse radish .... sooooo good compared to a cold RB n cheese on white or wheat.
