  1. Odot, if you were on ATV patrol w/ the SAVE team would you say anything to an ADULT UTV operator that was wearing a ball cap under his "beanie" helmet? Looked as bad as kids that wear a hat under the bike helmets. I don't think that is safe. I know guys have complained about having the police check their helmet straps. I'm not sure what you guys have noticed, but IMO a lot of ATV riders seem to go the bare minimum when it comes to helmets. I've had ATVs since the early 80s & have always worn a MX style helmet & goggles when riding. A few years ago a friend of mine got stung in the face while riding his motorcycle on a bike trip. Seeing a pic afterwards, he looked like Chuck Wepner after his fight w/ Ali.
  2. I think the incessant media coverage nowadays makes it seem so effing long. We've got a pissing contest going on in the local monthly paper because some self-proclaimed "expert" made a comment about Americans being idiots. There are a lot of US tourists (for many years) & 1 whose family has been coming here since the 40s took offence. Most people think the "expert's" column has no place in the paper, but they continue to print it. Can someone tell me why CBC, CTV, Global & the CBC & CTV news channels (plus our local stations) have to spend so much of their newscasts on basically what are non-events? "Donald Trump is going to Wyoming today." "Hillary flew to Arizona yesterday" ad nauseum. I think the Americans are screwed. Hillary has had this in mind for years. Why else would she have stuck w/ Slick Willy during the Lewinsky episode? Saw the highlights of her speech (muted). At the end there was a big hug from Bill. It was so wonderful. LOL!
  3. Had 5 young ones camped across from me in Algonquin a couple of years ago. Azzhats spent most of the day trying to keep a campfire going w/ bbq lighter fluid. When they left the (renting a yurt) they left 2 bags of garbage beside the laneway in the campground. The girls on clean up duty said a charge would be tacked on the cost f their rental. Also I've (and probably any of you that have camped) in the southern Ontario prov' parks, that there are signs @ the water taps telling the idgits not to wash their dishes & cutlery there. Camping in northern Ontario I haven't seen the signs (yet). Back in the 90s during my 1st trip to BC I watched a some idiot stood on a rock @ Athabasca Falls (south of Jasper) smiling & waving @ his relatives who were taking pics. I imagine they would've been awfully upset if he had fallen in & been swept to his death. If the impact of being tossed around like a ragdoll going thru the rocks didn't kill him, the barely above freezing water temp would've done him in.
  4. I do recall that the eco shit was NOT sourced from Safety Kleen.
  5. Some are good some are worthless. Used Safety Kleen for years @ work w/ no issues then the company switched to some eco friendly crap that was about as powerful as water (wouldn't lift moly grease from the parts) & you couldn't use it w/o a respirator because the fumes were so bad. I wish I could remember the name.
  6. I had a tire on my TT explode just west of the Nairn Centre truck stop 2 summers ago. A section of the tread cap (about 6" of the circumference was gone & the steel belting was "splayed" outwards). The rest of the tire looked OK, no checking on the sidewalls or cracks in the tread. Tires (Carlisle) were 6 years old & are covered when parked. Replaced them w/ Goodyear Marathons. Most guys on the RV sites seem to replace their tires every 5 years. Luckily there wasn't any damage to the trailer.
  7. Didn't the early Poos & Cats still have their motors @ the rear while the 'doos had the motor under the hood?
  8. I saw them open for Rush @ the Gardens once. I wasn't a fan before & their performance didn't make me 1. Gord basically just hung onto the mic stand & swayed back & forth.
  9. Good money for Cat since they probably didn't make that much money off the Tigershark.
  10. Or you can raise your kids in a genderless setting like those idgits w/ "Storm".
  11. http://globalnews.ca/news/2748785/toronto-pan-am-games-342m-over-budget-ontario-auditor-general/ Money well spent? And they want Toronto to bid on an Expo.
  12. I've seen it in the US publications for a couple of years now. Apparently it's Citgo oil: http://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2185675
  13. Glad to see it's back. I was wondering where I could rant w/ FS offline LOL
