  1. Interesting. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/federal-agencies-warned-of-ventilator-shortages-for-nearly-two-decades “GAO found that most hospitals lack the capacity to respond to large-scale infectious disease outbreaks,” concluded the U.S. Government Accountability Office in a 2003 report after the SARS outbreak, noting that “few hospitals have adequate medical equipment, such as the ventilators that are often needed for respiratory infections such as SARS, to handle the large increases in the number of patients that may result.” A 2005 Congressional Research Service report examining avian flu also noted that the U.S. was unlikely to be prepared for a pandemic due to that virus’ effect on the lungs. “If this strain were to launch a pandemic and retain this trait, large numbers of victims may require intensive care and ventilatory support, likely exceeding national capacity to provide this level of care,” that report said. “In any event, such specialized care is not available in most developing countries, and access to it is uneven within the United States.” Later that same year, the Department of Health and Human Services released an extensive report on the plan for an influenza pandemic. A key item on their list of actions to take for a “health care and emergency response” was to “assess surge capacity” of medical systems including ventilators, noting the necessity for maintaining an emergency stockpile.
  2. I'm thinking it could. His daily briefings are more proof he's too old to be President.
  3. I think the Blast lineup introduction is a great sign Cat is around for another 5 years minimum pending some other outside factor or them being sold off by Textron. I'd love to see Cat hurdle Doo and Poo on the 2 stroke front with a 900 or better yet a 1000. Be awesome for the Industry in general. I'd order one in a second. I wouldn't hold your breath on a lake racer only engine. They already have that in the TCat. Obviously the Cat/Yammie relationship is here to stay for quite a while with a Blue Cat Mountain Max and the Venom lineup. Yamaha claims to have shared the engineering on that segment. Whatever they do in the 2Stroke segment it will be for multiple models included the mountain.
  4. Business or tourism hubs with worldwide travelers will be hot spots. No way to avoid that even as early as travel was limited. Chinese love Hawaii. Bit surprised it hasn't been hit harder. They also love Vegas. Only time I was there was around the Chinese new year and the Bellagio was packed with them.
  5. I'd say states with under 500 cases are doing pretty well. There are 24 of them.
  6. Wife and I spend a ton of time together. This really hasn't changed it that much. We joke about it bothering us but I don't feel for either of us it really does.
  7. Hopefully there are enough tests available where those people won't have to self quarantine for 14 days when they return. Shouldn't 2 negative tests in 24 hrs let them resume work back home? If they have to quarantine for 14 days like anyone else leaving the state its a risky proposition.
  8. Yeah, crowded and dirty. All cities like that will get hit hard.
  9. Lots of affluent people with the pre-existing conditions that can make this dangerous. Those conditions are forever and not cured. Any population center is going to be at a higher risk. More people touching the same surfaces day in and day out.
  10. Is it just me or is there a resemblance to Arctic Cat riders with these fucking weirdo's on this show?
  11. Doo fucks Nooks....no question about it.
  12. That makes no difference when analyzing the impact. The common flu has a vaccine is much less contagious and we still see huge amounts of people dying. And we do NOTHING. Be curious to see the percentage of deaths due to the seasonal flu that had the vaccine.
  13. Flat out better deal than the Cat. Anyone with half a brain can understand this.
  14. Its time like this I wish we had complete Anarchist style commune-ism. The virus would not have been able to spread because there would be no airlines or cruiselines. Then again we wouldn't have hospitals or medicine either so most people would be dead anyway.
  15. And 4 years of warranty vs. 1
  16. That's rich coming from the pro choice side.
  17. I find it amazing that the death rate is so similar state to state when taking into account just confirmed cases to deaths.
  18. Actually socialism was making socialism look amazing. QE isn't capitalism. True capitalism would have been to let all the banks and automakers fail and re-organize the last time. Fed manipulation of the interest rate isn't capitalism even if they aren't considered part of the federal govt.
  19. Not that much better in the US than a doo or poo if cat dealers don't discount off MSRP. Both of those dealers give me $1500 off MSRP and a much longer warranty.
