It is a bit freaky. I think they changed the name of the virus in the book like in 2009. The novel mentions a bioweapon that in earlier editions is called "Gorki-400" and in later editions was called "Wuhan-400". Gorki is a Russian city and named as the origin of that bioweapon in the 1981 edition.
