Fox host slams Ryan after Trump plugs show
People are trying to point fingers at the house conservatives as the holdup when the house moderates were just as big as issue as they were crying they wouldn't vote for it if this or that is done. This goes without saying that the dems had not one supporting helping fix the ACA. These were not major changes they were trying to implement. Its dems bill let it go down in flames. Lets see if they will come to the table then.

BREAKING NEWS: Source: House GOP leaders delay vote on health care repeal bill, in setback for President Trump and Speaker Ryan. Story to come...
It's not shocking but it should be some guidelines as how to manage costs. It simply isn't sustainable hammering 80% of the population for 20% of the people. We need to take a good hard look at reasonable rationed care.

Freedom Caucus needs to get off their ass and propose a new plan not just repeal the ACA. The GOP will get hurt if pre existing conditions are not covered.

donny is out of options.
If Trump works with the dems to try and save Obamacare my bet is MC, Vince, Sno and others are lining up on their hands and knee's eagerly waiting to blow donny.

The second source that Fish gave us was a chart from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. That chart showed exactly what Bates said: Twenty percent of the population accounts for 80 percent of total expenditures. Maybe even more shockingly, the chart also shows that just 5 percent of the population accounts for 50 percent of all expenditures.

I've heard its worse in the US. I'll have to look it up, my wife and I were just talking about this yesterday. I do know that like 70% of a person's HC spending is usually in the last 2-3 years of their life. MIL was an administrator at a nursing home for 35+ years.

where's the supposed bernie supporters?

BREAKING NEWS: Source: House GOP leaders delay vote on health care repeal bill, in setback for President Trump and Speaker Ryan. Story to come...
I'd bet our percentage on means tested govt assistance is much higher than Canada's. Approximately 52.2 million (or 21.3 percent) people in the U.S. participated in major means-tested government assistance programs each month in 2012, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report released today.May 28, 2015

I was just commenting on countries per capita spending. Not who pays what. We all know the wealthy or business will pick up the tab in the US.

Cops beat up, hospitalize bar owner.
Bad people in every profession. Lots of good ones too. One not too far from me just caught a little boy who needed to jump from a 2nd story because of a fire. Yes some abuse their authority but rarely do we see people get treated poorly who obey the law and the commands of the officer. They want to go home after work no different than any of us. I don't see any evidence that this old man simply got beat up because he asked them to leave. Seems pretty clear he got in his car to go them.

Like Chris Matthews said the night of the election. For both parties the fix for immigration is the status quo. Dems want the votes, GOP wants the cheap labor. This is the number one issue why I supported Trump. If he doesn't stick to his guns on it he loses me as a voter.

I'd venture a guess we have HC challenges that Canada doesn't. Illegal immigrants probably being the largest.

What type of single payer? Govt owns all of HC? Just the insurance companeis? Contracts with the insurance companies? Taking over 1/3 of our nations economy is more than just "do single payer and get it over with."

The GOP's tax cut for health care CEO pay is a bigger ripoff of taxpayers than it first seemed
I way we have restricted pay for printing operations that do govt work.

Even the most "affordable" countries spend $6-7000 per person per year on HC. Just exactly what type of Medicare tax will pay for that?

Trump regrets backing health plan before pushing for tax reform
The dems left a ton of Obamacare in the hands of the current POTUS with the power it instilled to the director of HHS. A position that serves at the pleasure of the POTUS> https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-signs-executive-order-that-could-lift-affordable-care-acts-individual-mandate/2017/01/20/8c99e35e-df70-11e6-b2cf-b67fe3285cbc_story.html?utm_term=.1bedd64aa18f Trump signs executive order that could effectively gut Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate By Ashley Parker and Amy Goldstein January 20 President Trump signed an executive order late Friday giving federal agencies broad powers to unwind regulations created under the Affordable Care Act, which might include enforcement of the penalty for people who fail to carry the health insurance that the law requires of most Americans. The executive order, signed in the Oval Office as one of the new president’s first actions, directs agencies to grant relief to all constituencies affected by the sprawling 2010 health-care law: consumers, insurers, hospitals, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, states and others. It does not describe specific federal rules to be softened or lifted, but it appears to give room for agencies to eliminate an array of ACA taxes and requirements. However, some of these are embedded in the law, so it is unclear what latitude the executive branch will have. Though the new administration’s specific intentions are not yet clear, the order’s breadth and early timing carry symbolic value for a president who made repealing the ACA — his predecessor’s signature domestic achievement — a leading campaign promise. Additionally, the order’s language about easing economic and regulatory burdens aligns with long-standing Republican orthodoxy that the government exerts too heavy a hand on the U.S. health-care system.

Its rather open borders or its not. Why the US takes so much criticism from countries with much stricter rules laughable. More hate the US for any reason type of shit. This has become such a bullshit political issue. Every law abiding citizen is expected to use a passport to enter Canada or any other country. Why the fuck is that so bad for us to expect the same. I don't oppose people entering legally.

The other side
I'm old enough to know there are two sides to every story. It appears that is not what happened. Regarding private property a owner should be able to ask for anyone to leave and the LEO should have to obey without due cause to stay. Simply watching for drunk drivers should not be a reason to stay. They can legally watch the bar from somewhere else.
