  1. Crikey! This post actually had me considering taking Puzzle off ignore to get the full effect of all this drama but nah, the juice just ain't worth the squeeze.
  2. Ahh. So the ugly truth about Puzzle is starting to finally surface. Sounds like even Red Rocket on his old "polio braces" 600 Poo would leave him for dead on a spirited trail ride/race with the boys. I guess anyone can talk a good game from the comfort of a keyboard though. Too funny.
  3. I've been thinking about getting a set of the lower profile flares for the ol' Barkway Moose. Mostly just to hide the paint shedding from around the rear wheel wells. Not sure if it's worth it though - f'n things are expensive for what they are.
  4. Mark Lester needs to shave that thing off. Not sure WTF kind of look he is going for but geriatric chin drooler comes to mind. Ridiculous.
  5. Really. You would think that this was his first visit to FS. Anywho, FH sounds like quite the going concern. I figured that it must be pretty nice for the guy I know to be moving from what he has to go there.
  6. I figured that would be in Muskoka, but Innisfil makes sense too - lol. If it was closer I would grab it for parts.
  7. I've never been to FH. Is it also built on swampland like Baboon City is?
  8. One of our corporate guys is selling his beautiful lakefront home that he built for retirement on their cottage property near Minden and moving to FH. Almost a two year wait before his place will be ready in FH though. Says he's getting tired of the maintenance and extra driving and I think his wife feels kinda isolated where they are. Seems Friday Harbour is turning out to be very popular.
  9. Technically I've never been out - I still have two sleds in the garage.
  10. Not to mention yours was only ridden by a little old lady to church on Sundays. Sounds like a good deal. What's the story on the trailer?
  11. Just wait until the government places some sort of onerous tax on any place you own that isn't your primary residence. Because after all, not only is it environmentally unfriendly, it's so unfair that you have two homes when so many people can't even afford one. That will be the end of the traditional cottage owner in Ontario.
  12. Powersports in general are dying. There has not been a single positive trend in the snowmobile world for years now. Sad to say, but the party is over.
  13. I still have these f*cking things laying around. Price drop to $150/pr. Pretty sure that is about half what you would pay at the dealer.
  14. If you inquire nicely at Fenner Dunlop in Bracebridge they will usually give you a chunk of rubber belting that works great for traction mats in a trailer. They make conveyor belts for the mining industry and often have blems or off-cuts that they throw away. Two words of caution though. The stuff is incredibly thick and heavy so resist the urge to cover the entire trailer deck even if they give you enough to do it. Also being that it is conveyor belt meant for ore is it smooth and high-durometer rubber so unstudded sleds are prone to spin on it.

    Coyotes

That is one good thing about 'yotes - they get rid of domestic cats that ignorant owners let run loose.

That ditch dog needs to come down with a sudden case of lead poisoning.
  17. Christine Elliott has conceded. Like it or not Doug Ford is leading the PC'S into the upcoming provincial election.
  18. Good deals. Factory AC accessories are wickedly expensive. Post em up on Sledcore Reeves. They shouldn't last long on there.
  19. Who's sled was it George?
  20. Yes - that's Bruce Both. He's still around but the shop in Orillia has long since closed. Eric was a regular fixture at Snow North. He more or less passed away right in the showroom. RIP bud. Taken way too young.
  21. That is the same sled. Eric was the owner - loud, larger than life, an absolute rabid sledhead and Yamaha fan. Before the Avalanche he rode a 540 V-Max with a full-on Bender Formula 3 tune.
  22. The new 800's are indeed pretty good, but I don't know that I would elevate them to the level of "bulletproof". I would reserve that title to the likes of 488 Indy Trails, 340 Enticers, 600 Edge XC's etc.
  23. A buddy of mine had a Bender Avalanche triple back in the day.
  24. That's the way I would be going. First year Polaris big iron has a pretty bad track record right from the 2001XC800, through the 900 Fusion, the 700 Dragon, the 800 IQ after that and then the 800 Rush after that. Even the most recent 800's in the Axys were haunted by some long term reliability issues. Personally I would give the 850 a year or three and I am still a Polaris guy at heart.
