If you into Jimmy Hoffa, Kennedy family, how unions work...… this is a good read. Movie to follow. I'm interested in why Kennedy was killed, this book keeps me thinking the mob and now possibly the Teamsters had a roll in it. Gives me a little more respect for that union. When Castro took Cuba over he took all that away and threw them out of the country. Kennedy's father was a bootlegger and had ties with the mob, when JFK ran for president the mob helped him get elected. JFK went after Castro in Bay of Pigs and fucked that all up and pissed off the mob, then he took his brother Bobby in and went after the mob, Hoffa specifically. Hoffa called the Kennedy brothers "spoiled brats". Book is about Frank Sheeran who on his death bed claimed to have killed Hoffa. What sparked my interest is I'm not in the union but the teamsters represent the hourly workers where I work. There's alot of speculation about why the Kennedy's were assassinated and the mob may be the reason or part of the reason. But our govt would have had to cover it up and there is plenty of evidence of that. Hence why the records were sealed for 75 years. I just watched godfather 2 (again) last week and there is a part of that movie that takes place in Cuba. Lots of people were laundering money in Cuba.
