She was put on it by her doctor due to certain health issues and I figured it was best we all do it. It is fucking hard going thru the ingredients on all of the food we buy. No hydrogenated oils. No soy, No gluten, no GMO's, No high fructose corn syrup, only specific forms (and brands) of dairy, Hormone anti-biotic free meat, etc... It is fucking expensive too. I guarantee alot of families cant afford our grocery bill in fact some of our friends (who are 2 income families) cant afford it. And eating out? I don't disagree its a bit more expensive but you don't have to go to the extremes you do for a healthy lifestyle and its not written anywhere that you won't have to make a few sacrifices to live a certain way. Its quite a bit, like double. And the wife is very frugal and shops around knowing it is so expensive. The good news is alot of stores are getting on the band wagon now and selling healthier versions of our regular items. Until recently about the only place you could go for this kind of stuff is whole foods aka "whole paycheck" .
