I would have no issue with sports fees but a reg fee to o to publci schools outrageous. I think if they qualify for free lunch they definitely should pay nothing, as much as I know the programs abused there are many kids who really need it so I'll live with some waste. Too bad theres no way to really take care of the kids without benefiting the shithead parents. No registration fee here but Charlevoix had pay to play whereas Boyne City doesn't....not surprisingly Charlevoix is moving down to Class D in sports while Boyne is going up to Class B...sad state of affairs compared to my HS days. You said they had pay to play, do they still? Or is there an enrollment decline also? In order for a high school to have a high quality sports program, there has to be alot of private fund raising to make it work. At our school they make every kid on the football team sell those discount cards amongst all kinds of other things like golf outings, business advertising, etc.
Woodtick
$130 for 2nd grade registration. There is so much free after school stuff, 130 is no big deal.
