Mileage Psycho
This something that Trump should kick someone's ass about. Quote Why won't the U.S. gov't let the world's largest firefighting aircraft fly? http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/why-wont-the-us-govt-let-the-worlds-largest-firefighting-aircraft-fly/ar-BBEAInj

Absolutely.....no reason to keep this on the ground. Very cool tech that atomizes the water to lessen damage and loss of life.

xtralettucetomatoe580
If this is an operating cost issue, I wonder who is calculating that...? How much does it cost to let a fire burn longer haha? WTF?!
mtnloverxtreme2
we have a bunch of fires over here now, towns evacuated, others on watch. a lot of people here are wondering about these type of aircraft not being used (martin mars for one). what it comes down to is turnaround time. if you can have choppers and smaller planes buzzing repeatadly between lakes and fires it is good. and the smaller craft have an endless supply of big and small lakes and rivers to feed from. the martin mars, that has been used a few times in the last few years has a feeding area that only 15 or so lakes in b.c. can accomplish.
