I’m not in a great hunting area anymore, in fact only a handful of guys do it , but one of my best buds is an amazing hunter/trapper/guide/teacher. We’ve been deer hunting buds for 20 years, friends for 40+. When the deer population dropped he got better. Has 3 bucks between 162-174” , the 2 160’s with a bow and a few bow 150’s. I score them for him. So google map Crilly Ontario, look south east for camp river road and head south to Rainy Lake, that’s my turf . I hunted south of you a bit in Effe (by bigfork)... & Silver Bay on the N shore. I had chances - but blew it when I was younger & pretty green. Buddy who I let hunt hit this deer few weeks ago but we didn't recover him. Sucks but an unfortunate part of it. He had put on another 10-15" too. We've seen an even bigger 10 a few times but nobodies gotten a shot yet. Some other 120"-140" bucks running around but nothing to get overly excited about.
