I'm a big fan of bolt actions and moderately priced guns so I would go with a Remington 700 chambered 30-06 or .300 Win Mag, and then being practical I would go with a synthetic stock. Well, till this season...still not sure how I didn't get a huge bull elk , broadside shoulder shot at about 80 yards..., had to be shooter error.
