  1. Obviously, if the counter protesters didn't show up, they wouldn't have been attacked, that's just basic physics.
  2. That is correct and is supported by science. The rate of change we're currently seeing however has not always happened. "The paleoclimate record combined with global models shows past ice ages as well as periods even warmer than today. But the paleoclimate record also reveals that the current climatic warming is occurring much more rapidly than past warming events. As the Earth moved out of ice ages over the past million years, the global temperature rose a total of 4 to 7 degrees Celsius over about 5,000 years. In the past century alone, the temperature has climbed 0.7 degrees Celsius, roughly ten times faster than the average rate of ice-age-recovery warming." - NASA
  3. I was hoping for a taco truck on every corner by now but nooo, some people just couldn't let it happen. Way to get my hopes up Marco Gutierrez.
  4. I predicted exactly what happened in 2010. The writing was all over the wall with the rise of the tea party movement. The 2016 presidential loss was disappointing, in the same way that having Ralph Macchio lose the final fight would have made for a lousy Karate Kid. But not altogether unusual as we tend to switch parties at the helm after an eight year run. Republicans lost 6 house seats and 2 senate seats, I think that gets overlooked a lot when trying to claim "humiliating democrat losses". But, yes, we'll keep on hopin' - cake by the ocean.
  5. Nobody has said otherwise. You read the article so you know the author said that in itself isn't anything to write home about. He found it anecdotally interesting and I tend to agree that it's surprising given that nearly 60% of people in the district checked the Trump/Pence box just 10 months ago. Going a step further, some of us are speculating on why, and what it may mean for 2018. To that end, perform your own analysis, or don't.
  6. That's fine, you're welcome to draw your own conclusions.
  7. The two piece seat and tank would give that impression ('97) but I swapped those on to replace the badly worn original. Thank you for your write up on 11 series weights a while back. I popped in a set of 11-64s last winter and initial impressions are good.
  8. You have the media play footage of real words coming out of the real Donnie's mouth, which they already do. It's not unusual for me to hear him do the exact same speech 5 times a day, watching various programs. If you've got decent tv speakers it shouldn't sound distorted. I've got a home theater setup that works pretty well.
  9. Nothing wrong with an electric mower if it works for your application. I got an electric hedge trimmer as a gift last year and it has plenty of power. My 2 acre lawn though - needed a 46" rider for that and wish I'd bought bigger.
  10. Sorry, didn't mean to post that many times-didn't seem like it went through.
  11. I can't believe I agree, but I do. I've made the same argument myself on other forums. I don't like the extra weight of the battery, most seem to be styled in ways that I guess are supposed to be cute, but not my thing. I would love for others to buy them though even if it makes me a hypocrite. I expect someday they'll be acceptable. The original Teala was kind of cool I guess, but I don't want to be stranded with a dead battery.
  12. Thanks guys. Sorry about all the junk in the barn. It was pretty much all left in there when I bought the place a year ago. It's an old dairy barn and is in pretty rough shape all around. The house itself was built in 1908 but has been kept up much better. It's all worth it to me though to move from the burbs out to the country and have a couple of acres to ride around on or ride the back roads when I can't make a trip up north.
  13. Born in Wisco, live in the Land of Lincoln now. I've got a '98 XC 700. Here she is in the barn:
  14. I've never been anyone else, hosers.
  15. You're still pivoting, numb nuts. Just because what you stated is fact does not preclude it from being a pivot.
  16. It was a veto proof bill. He signed it for optics, as in now everyone will think I couldn't possibly be in bed with Russia.
  17. Hey, dippy - the democrats picked up 6 house seats in the 2016 elections.
  18. .... in a district that Trump had swept 58/37. Iowa state special election
  19. Dude's kind of legend. Trump has said he could be more presidential than anyone but that guy. His face is on two different denominations of money. He's honored by a memorial in D.C. and still has a bedroom named after him in the whitehouse. There's been more books written about him than any other president. Momo even has him as his avatar.
  20. It's times like this I'm reminded of a guy who ran for U.S. senate and lost. He ran for senate again three years later and lost again. He then ran for President and won.
