Lol. I have the gas shut off to the furnace. I have had to pull the valve off to change the thermocouple and such so I have it off to be safe till it get it fixed.

The blue wire going to the valve reads 25v. The grey wire reads 0. When checking continuity across the valve, it reads open. The blue wire comes from the pressure switch and the grey comes from these two blocks. One is a transformer and not 100% on the other but the wiring diagram is on page one of that helps

Is there anyway I can make sure it is the valve? I found one but it is $260. I am in trade school right now and would prefer not to be wrong and waste the money lol

I checked for resistance. It was open both on and off

Well this morning I gave the gas valve a few persuasive taps and no dice. 24v goes into the valve and doesn't come out. I deal a lot with Nat gas at work so I am not worried about fucking that up to much lol.

If I have this on the right setting, and the leads in the right spots (black to ground and red to grey wire, it reads 0 both on and off

I can see the pilot and it is lit. The induction motor will run for some time trying to lite but the main burners never fire up. The pilot is the only thing going on in the chamber

Gas valve read "1" or open all the time. But I can physically hear and feel it click. No circuit board

Running the meter on 20k the pressure switch reads 1 with the induction motor off and 0 with it on. The hi limit switch reads 0 with it on or off. Aux limit reads the same as the hi limit

I am a little niave when it comes to electrical, especially when dealing with a house. I have never done it before. At the risk of sounding retarded, how would be go about doing that?

  21. Hey guys. I am having an issue with my furnace and I am running out of ideas. The pilot light went out this morning and I have it lit again. The pilot light stays on but the main burners will not turn on. The induction motor runs. I changed the thermocouple but still no luck. Anyone have any ideas? It is a Nordyne M1GH 090A AW.
  22. I don't see the point if using a 1le package as it adds areo bits and the sole purpose of a 1le package is handling. So counter productive to drag racing. I would love to own either though.
  23. Sorry for your loss HM and everyone else. I don't know how I will handle when my dad passes. He turned 60 in October and I am only 27. He was in a sled accident 4 years ago. Hit a rock and is paralyzed from the waste down. Went from a 6'6" totally independent, small business owner to being stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of his life in constant pain and losing his business of 20 years. It is heartbreaking to watch. My grandmother and him lived together. She just passed away at the age of 85 on March 5. They gave eachother a purpose in life, keeping the other one going. That has been really hard as well. The reason I mentioned our ages earlier is that I am quite envious that he got 60 years with his mom and 52 years with his dad. I will be lucky to get 40 I think.
