  1. Interesting. I have never had a sled that wheelied lol. Or I guess set up to do such things lol. My shocks were beyond ready for a rebuild and the rear was blown and the center had a broken eyelet which had the spring not sitting right. So fresh shocks with the limiter strap actually doing something should be a huge change from last year.
  2. Installed exhaust valves on the crossfire and switchback today. Had them out for cleaning and the gaskets came in yesterday. Hopefully I measured the apv cable right. If I did, they were still spot on. The polaris valves are so much simpler lol. Only things I got left to do is throw front shocks and rear suspensions in both sleds, find a speedo sensor for the crossfire and hope that will fix my jumpy and inaccurate speed readings and put on the fancy new mountain seat for the crossfire. We have snow on the ground and it has been below freezing for a week now. I was hoping for at least another week or two of fall temps for a more pleasant working experience lol. I have an unheated poverty spec shed unlike most of you guys here lmao.
  3. Hmmm. So deep snow guys want them loose the help with getting up on top of the snow and trail guys want them tight to help carve trails?
  4. So I am on the complete opposite side of the spectrum lol. What is the benefit to running them that tight? What is the benefit to running them the way I have them now?
  5. So I got my shocks back from a refresh and installed them in the rear skids today. When I was done, I noticed the limiter straps on the crossfire were taunt and the straps for my switchback back were loose. My switchback back has had two previous owners and a fair amount of kms on it and the Arctic cat was barely used before I bought it so I figured someone messed around the switchback and the crossfire was still a factory setting. So I adjusted the polaris to be just taunt at full shock extension. Did I make a mistake and they were supposed to be loose? This is with both rear skids out of the sleds
  6. I will take a picture when I get home. It is fucking stupid. And of course I didn't find this out till I had the cables off the servo and the valves out of the engine lol.
  7. Does anyone have the specs for a 2007 arctic cat 600 exhaust valve cable adjustment? On a side note. What a bunch of dick heads at arctic cat. They ran the exhaust valve cables between the cylinders but under the head. Which would have been fine if they had made enough room to remove them without either cutting the cables or pulling the head. Some people need to be shot with balls of their own shit lol.
  8. I can fully get behind banning ketchup even being on the same plate as a steak but let's not get too carried away with the bold....
  9. Yes. I noticed that as well. Unless you lucky enough to find a part out that has them. I also see. A post on snowiest.com on September 24th that someone was looking for a set of white grippers.
  10. Here is another set for $300 but in Wisconsin https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-Axys-Pro-Ride-Snowmobile-Gripper-Ski-White-2877679-570/114378400961?hash=item1aa17be4c1:g:gBUAAOSwwdFfR8hc
  11. Are you looking at brand new or used?
  12. It is funny. Gripper skis are also $300 up here lmao.
  13. I heard Brian Johnson before I heard the Bon Scott stuff and to me, Brian Johnson is the better vocalist
  14. I will have to respectfully disagree. Brian Johnson ftmfw.
  15. Last year I found that my right side hand grip element was broken off at the solder points. Lucky my local dealer had a replacement in stock for $45. For some reason polaris makes you thread the wires through the throttle block and not make it a two piece block. But got the pins out and the connector off and threaded the wires. Will be super nice to have two warm hands instead of just one lol. I also have not installed that orange seat on the crossfire yet. When I get my shocks back and in the sled, I am going to get the wife to try out the stock seat before I put the mountain one on. She hasn't used the sled enough to appreciate the difference lol. So if I do a before and after...... Lmao
  16. How sloppy can exhaust valve bushings get before it is time to replace the valve base? 20200929_223159.mp4
  17. These are the valves from my '08 polaris 700. I think I may have put on a little over 1000 kms last year. Does the valves seem normal or is this an excessive amount of oil on them?
  18. It is less of the politics and more of the regulations. Like 13% tax on used vehicles. Insurance bs. Prime example. My brother bought an '85ish Honda cb550 nighthawk. He took an approved motorcycle training program. Insurance was $2000 a year and that was pretty much the cheapest he could find. I have a 2005 klr 650. No training program, didn't even have my license at the time (not required to get insurance and ride your bike) and I was $320 a year. On top of that, I would have to sell my house and deal with everything that goes along with it for a job that pays the same as I make now but the job itself would be better. I wouldn't mind moving but with the bs taxes and things if Ontario, I would end up making less.
  19. I have an job opportunity in Ontario right now. Good pay, good company, lots of learning and advancement and I would be back home with family. But I do not want to deal with the over regulated, over taxed, full retard bs that is Ontario government and law enforcement. It is really hard to say no but at the same time, Ontario itself makes it harder to say yes lol.
  20. I have started taking 4500iu's of vitamin D since I heard the jre podcast with Dr Rhonda Patrick discussing how important it was. I am supposed to be flying home to Ontario for Thanksgiving but from what I can gather, people in Ontario are getting a little squirrelly and they may shut down.
